Great education but not that social, unless you're involved then it will be a blast! Geaux Pokes
Overall 5
Great school, the faculty and staff are nice and friendly and there are plenty of opportunities
Overall 4.9
I love this school, the pressure-free atmosphere, the people, and the location. Walking through the quad or just relaxing in a chair inside the New Ranch were some of my favorite pastimes. The teachers are almost always pretty great and the events on campus are fun. There is no college I would rather be attending.

Great place!
Overall 4.8
Awesome place to go to school at! Extremely enjoyable the more active you get with the clubs. Also has a great place to work out and run that comes with your tuition!

Bad reviews
Overall 1.3
Ew Lake Charles. Campus is very unattractive. Nuff said.
Overall 1.4
I would never ever recommend this school to anyone. Mcneese is not very clean at all and it smells like mold in their buildings. They do not care for their students what so ever and just care that they are making money. Do not GO HERE IF YOU HAVE A CHOICE!!!!!!!!

TERRIBLE education department
Overall 1.8
This school does not know how to run a website. Trying to change your major and apply for classes is a huge hassle when the student banner and degree works is constantly down. Professors do not know how to answer emails. There is a reason the graduation rate is so low. Do not get me started on the Chemistry department.
Overall 1.8
Hate and awful arent strong enough words to describe my experience here.
Overall 1.8
Dr. Burckel is a prime example of why you shouldnt attend this school. Everything related to this university is all about money. They have no study hall. I tend to call it Anti Study University. Its literally not possible to study on the weekends unless you go to the library for the 3 hours it is opened. student union bill? Dont get me started..
Overall 1.9
Not much help from advisers or administrators or most employers. Teachers are hit or miss either being supportive, informative, and want u to learn or they slam you with loads of work and cannot offer you assistance or a actual lesson.
Overall 1.9
McNeese doesnt care about the students just money. The charge 1,700+ for a meal plan that u have to have if u live on campus. We only get to eat at certain times bc the cafeteria closes throughout the day. They dont have many good teachers. Ziggler third floor ac always breaks and even when its fixed its still hot. Wont let u out of lease.
Overall 1.9
Terrible experience. The science labs have nothing in working condition. The science building has no proper air conditioning.
Overall 2
- Dated architecture. Asbestos reported in certain structures. - Includes gender and ethnocentric organizations. - Congested area. Nearby roads worn. Abysmal traffic. - Poor hygiene routines among the majority of students. + Safety is fine unless you're as aloof as a toddler. + The Internet is reliable, albeit finicky in some key areas.
