Such a wonderful school! For being in a small city when I'm used to L.A., I was surprised how great the teachers and classes are. Not as much selection as I'm used to, but what they offer is tops
Overall 5
Professors are easy to talk to and overall the people here are friendly too. It is a central valley type of vibe in that you get a mix of all types of people. I had many great professors and during office hours they were easy to access. I loved my time here and will always remember it as a positive experience in my life. Merced College is great!!!!

I came from a different city I come here for their math and sciences courses. Merced College is really awesome, I'm thankful I have had such good professors in math, computer science, and physics. I feel that once I transfer i'll be okay. The community college closer to me is not as well run in the STEM department happy to be here instead.
Overall 4.8
This is a great school . The only problem I had was with one professor my first English class and had to retake it because be was too critical and formal with the work. Retook it with a different professor and I got an A so idk what was wrong with the other professor !
Overall 4.8
The reason why I pick Merced college is that my sister had graduated here a long time ago. She recommends me to go here. I was accepted right away. I don't have to be on the waitlist. All the professor is amazing and understanding. I love the technique and style the professor teaches. Everyone on campus is very friendly.
Bad reviews
Overall 1.5
The location is terrible, the school is dingy.
Overall 1.6
Merced College is not safe for people with disabilities. Any place that states they meet legal standards and will not go beyond is not meeting legal standards. The college response to this is take classes online. Kids programs cannot handle disabilities either. Boys have ADHD and were kicked out 3 days later after being promised they are safe.
Overall 1.6
It's more like a junior high instead of a junior college. In the past 2 years, I've seen an increase in rude, lazy studetns who disrupt classes. So many instructors waste more time calling down the disruptors than sticking to their lectures. I wish I had never come here , but am not transferring to a REAL college--not sesame street
Overall 1.7
Impossible to get classes, impossible to find parking, takes about 4 years to do what should take 2.
Overall 1.8
If you can get the classes, attend elsewhere. It is more like a high school with ash trays. Most teachers go thru the motions and appear glib, not enthusiastic. My parents attended many years ago when it used to have a better reputation. It has gone downhill since then.
Overall 1.8
The campus is your basic city college campus, nothing too great about it, though they are finally making many improvements. I feel strongly that it is just like high school only out of high school because everyone from all the high schools around here end up here. Maybe if there weren't so many smoking freaks it wouldn't be so bad.
Overall 1.9
The school could improve on the cafeteria portion of things. Offer more foods & healthier foods.
Also, more indoor lounge seating would be nice. They have lots of outside seating with little to no shade. The staff could improve (they are not very friendly).
Overall 2
I don't like it, but amazing professors.
