I really like Longview a lot! It's a great place with great teachers, I've only had problems with one. The school has a positive and relaxed atmosphere. I am happy I chose to go to this school.
Overall 4.4
They have really good STEM professors (my major had me mostly interact with their science and technology program rather than the other subjects too much.
Overall 4.4
I really enjoy this campus. It's a very chill environment and everybody is really friendly. The teachers are really nice too. I also was a Vice President of club and worked on campus.
Overall 4.3
Extremely friendly campus, very clean, friendly staff. There are a lot of clubs to participate in, easy to get around and the location is perfect. I live literally 5 mins from campus, so getting there is a breeze. My only complaint is the parking blows, if you don't get there two hours before class starts, you won't find a parking spot! Love it tho
Overall 4.2
I have had an excellent experience at Longview in Lee's Summit. My instructors have been excellent, caring and generally high caliber teachers. I have never felt at risk. Longview is a beautiful campus with helpful staff and teachers.
Overall 4.2
For a community college it is pretty great. Just like everything else, you get what you put into it. If you're someone that doesn't want to be involved that's okay, but they do give opportunities to be involved. Overall, I think professors are great! You basically just do your own thing and what fits for your schedule. Very relaxed environment.

A truly great school with great professors. It is challenging (most of my courses used the curriculum from UMKC, but it is so worth it. You will receive the education from the surrounding universities, on a smaller scale. There are some professors that are iffy but overall the staff is kind and the advisers are very well trained in their field.

its honestly a great college
Bad reviews

Dark at night. Dangerous campus since there are people hanging around, not sure why, some didn't act like they were students. They also bussed people in. Many teachers were terrible, didn't teach, or talked all the time about their own lives without knowing how to communicate to those who wanted to learn. Then gave assignments without being clear.
Overall 0.9
I have never had a good teacher a this school. One class I would give the correct answers and I still got a B. The teachers are not there for you. Some of the teachers talk about failing the students the first day. The school says in words they care about the students but in deeds they deny it.
Overall 0.9
Most of the teachers do not teach. Some of them have been there for years, when is MCC going to start having good teachers, or realize who is good and monitor those who are not teaching. This is a community college and way more difficult than a university. More lighting in parking lot and security also needed.
Overall 0.9
The school has become worse through the years. The parking lot is dark at night. The teachers do not seem to care when others horse around, when you want to listen and learn. Some teachers seem to want to speak about their lives and not teach. Not every one gets school free, a waste of time.
Overall 0.9
I wish the Administration would take the courses, teachers need to be monitored, terrible. Someone is still paying for this school, why not some lights in the parking lot?
Overall 0.9
I think this school forgot that the students are paying them, not they paying the students. It isn't right a good student hears how receiving an F the first day of class would be a good thing. Seems "F"s are popular at this school, which makes since the extreme amount of work imposed on students. Too many students failing and doing classes again.
Overall 0.9
Not a good school from teachers to students to the whole general environment. Run if you can.
Overall 0.9
If you are a girl it is an especially scary school. The parking lot is dark at night. Some of the people come on the bus, hang around looking at you. It feels more like a bar environment not an educational facility. I don't think it is right that the girls that want an education have to fear for their life when attending a school.

Johnson County Community College is rated 4th highest in the nation. How I wish Metropolitan Community College could have good teachers like that school. Metropolitan Community College does not seem to want us students to succeed unlike their neighboring state of Kansas.
Overall 0.9
Most of teachers don't seem to care about the students. Of course some of the students don't care either which make it rough on the ones that want to do well. It seems some of the teachers have been there a long time and think they don't have to try, and give way too much work, more than needed.
