If you want a private college feel with public college tuition this is the school for you. Having a smaller campus is nice for going to class in the mornings when it's cold out. Parking is not an issue and the campus is pretty safe, just don't leave your car doors unlocked. Food is okay, short drive to Fargo, friendly students and professors.

I've had great professors here.

MSUM is a fantastic school! All the professors really care about the well being of the students (Of course there's always that ONE professor). Small enough campus to get around yet big enough where you can meet new people everyday! The best decision was to attend this school. It gives you the "Homey" feeling. Everyone looks out for eachother

Really like it here

Love it here!

Best choice for my undergraduate degree. Not disappointed. Dragon pride!
Overall 4.4
The campus is absolutely beautiful and the Professors are fairly nice. The down fall is that there is cig buds all over campus because nobody can pick up after themselves. The campus has a lot of useful resources and plenty of stuff to do. You will never be to overly bored. Other students are very kind and open to new ideas. This campus is great!!
Overall 4.4
I love this school mostly due to my major (Anthropology) and my professors that are in my major. The location isn't for anyone because it gets quite cold and if it's warm its usually windy in the Moorhead/Fargo area. There is plenty of clubs and you are allowed to make clubs. There is a good amount of social events too. I feel 100% safe as well.
Overall 4.3
I like it a lot and the campus is pretty. Food is not the greatest but there are stores and restaurants on campus.
Overall 4.3
Definitely check out this website before choosing your professor. Advising can be difficult, but when I needed help I was able to get it and the people in the Fargo/Moorhead area are very nice. 20 Below coffee is relatively close by and very good. Really enjoyed my time at MSUM. If you have a bike you can get anywhere because it is so flat.

The advisors take weeks to respond or don't respond at all. Very dissatisfied with this school.
Overall 1.1
This place is an absolute dump. Like someone else said, most of the professors do not deserve to teach there but they are in such dire need that they hire anyone. There are very few clubs. It's like a small clique high school. Definitely do not go here if you are from out of state.
Overall 1.2
Not a good place for international students. Locals keep to themselves and form impenetrable cliques. Small town feel -not in a good way. Job opportunities are virtually nonexistent. No scholarships for those of us who actually make efforts to succeed, 'cause we're INTERNATIONAL smh. Look elsewhere, there are BETTER schools.
Overall 1.3
The advisors are little to no help, and the classes fill up quickly. Many professors and people in the academic support center are rude and very unhelpful.
Overall 1.5
Everything about this place sucks. The people, food, culture, weather, and did I mention the people. This place should be burned or used as a dump sight.
Overall 1.6
If you're looking for some big college experience, this is not the place for you. You come to class, choke down food at the few places on campus and go home. Very boring place and unfriendly in terms of opportunities for international students. They pour aid in all the wrong places and don't have their priorities straight.
Overall 1.7
Yes, tuition is cheaper than other colleges, but in my opinion its not worth it, especially in the film department. Equipment is usually broken by dishonest students that are never found out, and you have to wait to use very basic equipment such as an old, extremely used slate, until you are at least a sophomore. Hopefully things get better here.
Overall 1.7
Sophomore at MSUM currently and there is no sign that anyone at this school has experienced the "College Experience" or will look back and say "MSUM was fun"
Overall 1.9
Transferred here from a Division 1 school for the cheaper tuition. I got cheaper tuition but also lack of everything else. Basically anyone can get accepted into this school, its like going to high school all over again, there is no "college experience" here, and there are few to none opportunities to expand your resume with this school
