LOVE MSU!

Good location. Fast food near campus. Band opportunities for non-band majors are fabulous. Fraternities/Sororities can be rushed. Lots of social opportunities thru clubs and majors.

I LOVE MO STATE. Its everything I ever dreamed college would be.

Great school. Many professors are tough, but are great at what they do.
Overall 4.7
I love this school, the price compared to other schools is really good. I am in the business program, more specifically Finance, and it is top-ranking. Saftey is good on campus but gets sketchy a block off. The food here I rated a 3 after some staff changes, as far as management goes, the food has been improving and it's getting closer to a 4.

Enjoyed my undergrad and now my grad program.

Counseling professors are healthy adults that dictate whom is eligible for gov. assistance yet they have time to go on retreats, vacations, design cartoon characters, and don't grade major papers, give students important information they need to start their career, don't respond, don't have spots every time, which costs more money.

I reported my advisor because she didn't show to scheduled meetings, respond to emails, or follow up- even months later and I was unable to schedule on time for six semesters. After reporting I was informed I can't expect a reference if we report and I was retaliated against more. I expected concern, but I was harassed. Was put in an odd position.
Overall 1
Counseling department preaches professionalism and communication meanwhile professors don't show to meetings, don't respond for months, don't grade major papers, advisors MIA for months, and felt like I had to almost harass people to get a straight answer or any help. They laughed a lot when I finally asked what's going on.........

When you're a straight A student in a program and you ask an ethical question and then all of a sudden there's no room in classes, don't get emails, and when you introduce yourself to a new class the professors begin to talk to you like you're five and infantilize you in front of your peers and ask why don't you try out another career- interesting.
Overall 1
They calmly gaslight for 3 years bc nobody will question them then they laugh when eventually, someone gets upset or questions them. Students pay the price for disorganization and asking what is happening was so threatening they continued to withhold seats/important information. Ethical people don't mind questions or laugh at creating confusion.
Overall 1
I guess asking why my advisor never showed to meetings or followed through when students are punished for being sick and staying in touch was reason to not allow me into classes, leave me out of important information, and coincidentally no room for me to test but 6 months after everyone else- learned lesson do not question unethical behavior.
Overall 1
This school has gross double standards and no professionalism, just an attitude we can do whatever we want. Don't respond to emails, don't show up to scheduled meetings, don't grade papers, wasn't able to schedule on time in three years, the disorganization was harmful and learning student deal with the repercussions and may even take their blame.

I’ve lived in Springfield for most my life and have luckily never felt unsafe downtown and never had a bad experience until I joined the counseling department. I was harassed right in front of the doors of park central office building by grown adults in the field and chased away from getting a coffee across the street. It has been disgusting.

The scheduling of your courses is a nightmare at Missouri state. It has taken my two extra years to complete my psychology degree because many of my core classes would instantly fill up and my advisor kept telling me "there was nothing she could do about it." I would definitely choose a different school to attend.
