MVCC is very welcoming, has great professors, and has a very nice campus. The tuition is very affordable and they offer various scholarships to help out too! After going all the way to grad school and visiting other campuses, MVCC is still my favorite.

Great school. I like it here, the teachers have all been great. I'm in my 4th semester now and I'm almost done! -Computer Science major
Overall 4.8
It is a great school if you are serious about your education and want to take advantage of all it has to offer. Immerse yourself in the college community and get to know your professors.

I really love this college I would recommend this to anyone

Good school for middle class
Overall 4.2
I am just going here to take some supplemental classes for Suny Poly but I am really impressed with how kind and professional the staff is. My favorite part is the amazing staff at the learning commons: If you're going here and not taking advantage of that facility you are messing up. This is a school that will challenge you, don't underestimate it
Overall 4.2
Many individuals come to this college with no motive for education and express false statements. This college is an awesome learning atmosphere with great and supportive staff, tons of available activities and clubs, numerous comfortable places to study, relax, and gather, tutors and course help anytime, etc. Take advantage of what is offered.
Overall 4.2
There is a surplus of academic opportunities on campus. There are Program Board and Cultural Series events almost every single day that bring comedians, bands, and movies to the college, and a lot of those events give free take-aways. The MVCC app makes it really easy to connect with other students on campus or sell and buy textbooks for cheap.
Overall 4.2
Very good school even if it is "just a community college". One of my best decisions choosing to get my associates here before transferring to a four year. This is a quality education.
Bad reviews
Overall 1
Worst school I've ever been to.
Overall 1.1
Horrible college located in a drug infested area. I hated it here and will never return. Our dorm was robbed 2 times. The security guards are sleeping with the students and never around.
Overall 1.1
not friendly campus
Overall 1.1
Graduating soon from the arm pit of NY. I'll get a welding certificate but I really didn't learn much it. My spring classwork was all self taught and I began to hate it here!
Overall 1.1
Graduating soon but this place is located in the hood of utica ny! I only stayed cuz I it was cheap but the area is depressed and not safe! The dorm food is disgusting and tons of trash about the quads. I will not come back to UTICA NY AGAIN!
Overall 1.1
There were so many problems with disrespect and unethical problems from staff and students that even the cops with guns couldn't control it. They were even a part of the problem. Very bad students with emotional problems run the school and the staff caters to them because they are thought of as money to the school. Definitely go someplace else.
Overall 1.2
I am graduating in less than three months. This college is located in gang infected low income housing and is not the safe. I came for the welding program which I found out later SUCKED! I wasted one year and learn that the school sucks and teachers don't care! The welding was all self taught!
Overall 1.3
None.
Overall 1.4
Too much crime not safe!
Overall 1.7
Transferring here from another college, I have to say I'm not happy about it. None knows whats going on when you go to ask information for anything. Not enough Professors with different time slots. I live an hour away and have to be back by a certain time. Leaves me with not much room to schedule classes.
