I dropped out of high school and decided to return to college after 20+ years. I chose to do it online. tutoring has been easy to schedule, my tutors have all been amazing. My teachers have been amazing & nothing but supportive. Academic advisors, coaches, and disability services have been amazing too. I am very pleased w/the support I've received

Best Community College in the country!

I moved 2000 miles last summer to begin classes at mcc in the fall. If it wasn't for mcc I am not so sure that my transition to a new state, culture, and school would feel successful if it wasn't for mcc and their staff. Thank you MCC

Wish this was a 4 year school! I loved it here and the professors are the best! Good quality education and HIGHLY RECOMMEND starting here and doing 2+2 to another school to complete your bachelor's. Almost all credits transfer and wish I could go back and take more classes there. A wide array of choices. Love being MCC Alumn!

This educational experience surpassed all of my expectations and I am grateful to have attended college here.

This is one of the best community colleges in New York. There are so many opportunities for people to make new friends, explore, and increase their knowledge about academics and the world. It's an honor and a blessing to be part of this school.

If you are planning on doing any of the online programs here, just find a different school. They don't list their online requirements or curriculum accurately and if you're an online student you might as well not exist. Completely unhelpful to students, especially liberal arts majors.

I have been attending for over a year and it is definitely not the best school in Rochester. Somethings are decent but overall wouldn't recommend.
Overall 1.6
I made the mistake of taking bridge courses for a graduate program here and, let me tell you, the quality difference in professors between my undergraduate school, SUNY Buffalo, and MCC is staggering. UB professors knew what they were doing and generally had character. Professors here? Rude, arrorgant, and completely inept.
Go to FLCC instead.

Faculty doesnt care. No one told me I had only 1 year to enroll in a 2+2 program (thought I was). No guidance, even after chasing down people in admissions for help. Mcc also told me I had to take a class (extremely hard) for Fisher, I was taking 2 that qualified for the same credit. Meet with other college advisors if your transfering, not mcc.
Overall 1.7
The professors rule. The administration is awful. I've had many problems transferring to RIT because the MCC offices won't communicate with RIT offices. I had to hand deliver my official transcripts to my advisor at RIT because her requests were ignored. My Financial Aid was a mess because (again) MCC refused RIT's request for information.

MCC gives out more parking tickets than NY state itself.

Rarely did I ever meet a professor that really cared
