Great school

Love this school!
Overall 4.9
I'm getting my second degree and have never had an issue. Not sure why the score is so low. Like any other school curriculums have classes that are HIGHLY uneccessary for the degree you're going for but I guess that's the education system and not so much the school.
Overall 4.8
I LOVE Montclair State. The campus is gorgeous, there are various food options, a bunch of recreational activities/facilities (pool, gym, etc.), and overall provides a great experience for both commuters and on campus residents. :))
Overall 4.8
I LOVE THIS SCHOOL. Initially, I applied here on a whim but, after touring, I fell in love with the atmosphere and community. The dining hall food is great and there are so many different options to choose from. As someone with dietary restrictions, they had plenty that I could eat. It is a commuter school but weekends are still active.

Love it here
Overall 4.4
I absolutely love it here! I never understood why people complain about anything at this school. The food, sense of community, dorms, and professors are great! I do think they are overadmitting, however. I highly reccomend dorming or you will not get all of the positives out of the school!
Overall 4.4
traffic is always a pain here because its a commuter school, overall its a great university
Overall 4.3
I love this school, however they need to rebuild or redesign the older buildings like Dickson. I have a learning disability and the building is constantly raddling and making all types of noises. This gets in the way of my education because I cannot focus at times. We as students pay a lot of money for our education.
Overall 4.3
It’s a very large and home-like campus!
Bad reviews
Overall 1
Everything is awful here. I wish I can turn back time and go to another school. I'm not happy here. Worst experience of my life. Bad advising, you're always left with yourself making decisions. First semester they sign you up with the worst professors. Your own schedule can't even be good bc the system crashes & priority student register 1st.
Overall 1.1
Every now and then someone gets killed somewhere in the Campus.. They just send a news on email SAD NEWS.. that's it! No safety at all! Total regret!
Overall 1.2
I became severely depressed at this school. Bad professors, disgusting food, poor dorms, AWFUL social scene, lonely, didn’t learn anything, shuttle situation was bad too, gained nothing and lost everything in terms of money. Paid for my own depression essentially
Overall 1.2
Nearby campus area not at all safe for students, lot of are getting killed somewhere. Food totally awful despite paying 10x high prices compared outside. No jobs on campus for international students. No diversity seen at all. Only thousands & thousands of indian, african only are there none other. Horrible culture shock.
Overall 1.2
no help from the career center
Overall 1.3
The school is marketed as heavily commuter based, but what they fail to tell you is that they have little to no regard for residents. Everything closes early, so most days I just don't eat. Housing sucks. I have a roommate who makes my living situation unsafe and was told I will not be helped. Parking is horrible. You pay $400 and get bad parking.
Overall 1.4
OMG!! Acceptance rate is 98.5%. Ultra over enrollment w.r.t to regular campus. No SPACE for parking... NO FREE Parking anywhere.. It's the ultimate downfall..looks Fish Market. Too bad quality students, peers.. third class campus. 26000 + enrollment on both campus. Bloomfield high school merged.. its typical high school scenario..
Overall 1.4
It is not a good college experience. Honestly this school closely resembles the high school, & in the sense people act over the top immature. Safety is a huge concern, and overall is just dramatic. Not worth for money. Tuition fees very costly, unaffordable.
Overall 1.4
17:1 ratio is a joke lie to everyone. Very bad. Feels cheated. Avoid business majors at all.
Overall 1.4
Acceptance rate skyrocketed to 98%. Very bad third class campus. 25000 + enrollment.
