I am glad I decided to attend Naugatuck Valley both in Waterbury and in Danbury. I an older student returning to school and felt like I belonged right from the beginning. Everything about this school made me succeed in the nursing field.

Biggest community college in CT!
Overall 4.5
Awesome School. Many clubs. The best community college in all of CT in my opinion
Overall 4.5
This school was better than I expected. The greatest part about it is its location. It is easy to get to and when my car broke down they provided bus passes. Not all teachers are great but over all the education I have received has prepared me to be a confident nurse.
Overall 4.4
For a community college it was great honestly. The staff is helpful, the older buildings are full of character and newer ones are nice. Campus is quite pretty for its proximity to the highway lol. Had both great and awful profs but thats kinda the norm for schools. In general the people that work here are great and I had a good experience.

I really like the school , I mean is a community college can’t really be compared to a 4 year school but overall is nice . Proffesors are very caring I’ll say that and there’s many club to join as well .
Overall 4.3
Love the school and most of all the teachers

is a community college where you can feel comfortable and a lot of these professors love their jobs

The school charge for everything and there is a lab fee for just about anything they can find to put a fee on they charge a lab fee for online classes, weird!!!. The advisers are clueless as to weather your degree will transfer. so there's a lot to consider when you apply. Be informed!
Overall 1.4
If I had the chance to come here again, I wouldn't. The campus is overcrowded and annoying, the parking is even worse. The professors are mehish I have been a student here for awhile and I've only had 2 good ones. The events are wack and no one goes. Just a unhappy anti-social group of people that just want to transfer out or graduate. No fun!

Poor academics and teachers are not very helpful in the outcome of student success
Overall 1.5
Transferring into this college, I had had no idea what to think. They really try to glamorize it and make it sound super fun, but that's a lie. The advisors will screw you over and have you taking classes you don't need to get more $$$ from you. The professors are either really easy or really hard. Try to go to a different school.
Overall 1.6
Generally great professors that want you to succeed. However, the other students are miserable. Go here if you want to complete your general studies without spending all your money, but don't expect to make friends. The location is inconvenient if you use the highway because of traffic. Campus itself is nice for what it is. Decent study areas.
Overall 1.6
Overpriced for a community college. Parking is a mess and very stressful. There's one nice part and then the rest of the buildings need to be updated, but they are always buying new flat screens to advertise and new banners. Do all your advising yourself or get fdd up into taking classes you dont need.
Overall 1.7
No one in this staff did their job. They lacked communication and often the thing I'd hear from on person was completely different from the others. They rarely ever did anything positive or helpful.
Overall 1.8
If you're not there for their RN program you need to get the f out. That's all they really offer. Save your moneys n bounce.
Overall 1.8
NVCC is not a great cheaper decision. I feel as if you get no support from anyone but maybe people in the ACE center and that is just about it. Some professors seem as if they shouldn't be there.
Overall 1.8
My biggest complaint is with the staff. Can NVCC hire staff that actually care about students and how they are doing in school? Also the roads are TERRIBLE. FIX THEM. A good thing about NVCC is how quiet the school is at night.
