I graduated from NSC in 2009 and came back to take some prerequisites for a Master's program. I have gone to a University and a Community College, and this is the best school/environment for learning that I have experienced. If you are looking to party, move along. This school is for serious students who want to learn.

I love Nevada State College everyone is so friendly and the Professors are so understanding.

This school is AMAZING! It may not be the most centralized but this campus offers the students access to very cool events, a remarkable view, and has some of the most respectful and awesome college students ever. Everyone is always getting along. The NSC-NSSA is awesome! Some great people that are eager to make everyone happy at the school!

World class teachers for the most part, I’ve ran into a few racists, who despite my best efforts gave me an F, destroying my GPA. I work full time, but usually get only A’s and B’s. Do your research upfront, I wish I had!

I absolutely love it here.

NSC is great. Small class sizes and caring professors really enhance the learning experience. It's location is great for me. Advisors and financial aid always willing to help. Much better than UNLV and CSN. Only downside is class selection. Sometimes it's hard to get into a class or the variety is slim. Parking can also be a headache.
Overall 4.6
I transferred to this school from CSN (college of southern nevada) It is 10k x better than what I experienced with CSN
the professors here are classy and some are current teachers at public schools. I had a professor who was also a teacher at Basic High School I loved learning about teaching from people who are teachers in the current CCSD system.
Overall 4.5
It is a great college, my second home.
Bad reviews
Overall 1
Failure to thrive with unsupportive instructors.
Overall 1.5
The liberal arts instructors do not have teaching degrees and it shows in classroom management skills as well as lesson plan layouts. Look deeply into their backgrounds before spending your money, the school just became expensive and flatly does not have the talent to back up the absurd tuition rises.
Overall 1.8
Eventually the college will grow & improve but in the meantime me and friends usually will walk to the gas station down the street to get something to eat. But there will be two new buildings opening very soon, one will be the student center where students can hang out and be social & get something to eat the other will be the nursing building.
Overall 1.9
Nevada State College has the potential to be a wonderful college. They may need to take Communication out as a major because there are not enough class opportunities to support the major. One of the Communication professors do not communicate effectively. Also, there is a huge language barrier within the school. NSC is just given out jobs.
