Great teachers. You get out what you put in. Great diversity and opportunities after graduation.

I love NYIT. They need to make some changes though and hire more permanent instructors or review the adjuncts and remove the incompetent ones. Some of them are terrible and simply don't care at all. They come to classes for entertainment and not for teaching.
Overall 4.2
Great School, Amazing especially if you are majoring in engineering, architecture, design.

Not far from NYC. Most professors are helpful. Respected in the NCAA Div 2. Housing is in the former SUNY Old Westbury dorms. See Career Services for some good opportunities to advance your career with. Applying for work study is a hassle and very competitive.

The study rooms are literally closets. THERE IS NEVER PARKING. If you have night classes good luck getting to your car bc it's pitch black. If you have one bad professor, chances are you will have them again bc there are no teachers. Med students have more benefits than all the other majors, even though it's called NYIT, not NYMED. not worth it.

School life is very gloomy no events happen at the school. no library for engineering students. The tenured professors cant teach and don't care but the probationary ones are good. Commuter school nothing to stick around for anyway. Many kids transfer out due to bad profs and no social life(engineering students especially)

not at all a good school

Why would you want to come here? Don't come here. Don't come here if you're social and outgoing. Don't come here if you don't have a car. Don't come here if you want to challenge yourself with material. Don't come here if you're not Indian. Don't come here if you don't know anyone. Don't come here expecting to like the professors. Don't come here.

professors here don't care you'll have to teach yourself everything. professors here are a joke waste of time waste of money. professors act as if you know everything already so they do the bare minimum. underwhelming campus and student life. school overall terrible. this school doesn't even try to care for there students
Overall 1.3
DO NOT GO TO THIS SCHOOL IF YOU HAVE TO DORM!! The Dorms are just terrible, and if you want to leave your dorm you NEED a car, everything is so far away. The education is even worse and most of the professors could care less, I felt like I was being dumbed down in every class I took, and the campus itself is just so unimpressive.
Overall 1.4
This school overcharges students and underpays professors. As a student, you get the worst professors who couldn't care less about you. All of the programs here are average, nothing special at all, the BS/DO is a fantastic program however 90% of the BS/DO students fail out. Campus food is garbage and the college has no library. Save your money
