North Hennepin Community College is welcoming, supportive and full on on campus resources to make life easier no matter where you are at in your college journey. There are traditional students from PSEO to just graduated from high school and there are many adult, returning or new, or first-generation students. The entire campus is a joy! Go there!

Its a smaller campus. The class sizes range but the teachers are usually really helpful.

Love this school!
Overall 4.5
I absolutely love the diversity at this school! There are so many opportunities for everyone to get involved and feel welcomed. You get great professors, and interesting peers at a lower cost than most universities. Every class offers knowledge of the subject being studied as well as others' view points, which is highly rewarding.

I went here full-time for two years as a PSEO student and loved it. I was fully online my first year and loved the experience- they have a large course catalog if you need online education. My second year I’ve been all on campus and all my interactions have been great and there are many quiet places to study!

I came here in 2015 and have experience many great opportunities! The staff is wonderful! My friends and I started a club and I received help from other clubs to promote as well. I've done work study in two different departments and I'm given respect and kindness. NHCC has made it very easy for me to attend college.

Don't even bother applying here unless you're desperate. All the profs here have one goal of pushing whatever criteria learning plan they think works but has no interest at all about the development of new college learners. I feel sorry for these students because I already have 2 masters and just going for pre-reqs, I've met real caring profs.
Overall 1.2
School is money oriented and not oriented towards students. They like to try to force students to take classes they dont need or already have taken. Also, they do not help students with financial aids or scholarships, they offer no help.
Overall 1.2
I do not recommend this campus to anyone. Ever since my attendance back in 2010, I have experienced more than a handful of rude, biased, disrespectful, closed-minded instructors. I have experienced classes that resulted in me learning nothing but how to answer video worksheets. So far I have reported 4 instructors for the way they disrespected me.
Overall 1.8
They are not helpful to me and have lied to me they told me I could take college algebra immediately and when I tried to another person said I couldnt and I said but the advisor told me she said well you cant. They never help with your concerns and problems that Ive had and they lied saying I would get 8 credits my first semester but I didnt

School is okay. Some of the staff are incredibly rude and take their jobs so seriously and are not willing to help. With that being said, do your research before signing up for classes on this site and you will end up with caring, thoughtful professors who want to see you succeed. Do your generals here, graduate with an AA and transfer is my advice

Generally , the school is nice and the students are too but the staff are absolute garbage. They don't care and they lack professionalism and ambition.
