I came to NSCC as a first time college student at the age of 47. The school has many resources to help just about everyone. I even got a part-time job with the college because the friendly staff went to bat for me and took my professor's word that I would be a good fit. You're set up for success if you come here! I made the right decision.

North shore was a stepping stone for me. The professors at north shore community college were a huge help and a pleasure to meet. This school has many resources to offer and truly care about the community of Lynn and danvers. Anytime I needed help the student support center had answers.

Love this school! Best Community college. I would definitely recommend starting here even if you are transferring. Amazing teachers & staff. Happy with the student involvement. Great school, great atmosphere. Love the sustainable green building & water refill stations. Love the environmental aspect & alternative healing modalities (such as yoga).

I hope someone sees and reads this. I'm so disappointed and yet full of regrets extremely unstructured and disorganized classes, no sympathy for student life, they want you to commit to studying more than 50hrs+wk. I promise you and guarantee you 1000% that I'm not the only one who feels or thinks this way! if only I could have my money back!

Parking is BAD. From 8am till 3pm you cant find a space. If you're a student you can only park in student spaces ONLY. If you're a teacher you have all access parking which means you can park in teacher and student spaces. not enough student parking at all and 1/2 of teacher spots are empty because teacher sometimes use student parking.

Can't get out of here fast enough. There are some good professors and a few nut-jobs. This school is more of a continuation of high school than a college. The courses are VERY dilute and not very challenging; you get what you pay for. There is alot of stigma from attending North shore so beware. Overall, somewhere to get in and get out of quickly.

Administration is extremely slow. If there are 3 people in front of you for the financial aid line, expect to be waiting at least an hour. 30 people? take a day off to sit in like for 4 hours at least. Very slow, very hard to get a hold of anyone when you need things done by a deadline. NO ONE ANSWERS PHONES and mailboxes are full. Classes are ok.
