The people here are particularly nice and willing to help anyone in need. The courtyards are beautiful, and while police cars are everywhere, they're never on random patrols. They have some rare classes and are the culinary school out of occ. a lot of the higher rated professors work there And the buildings aren't too far apart.

This is a great school at a great price. Happy to have OCC as a school. My only gripe is a lack of decent food options on campus.

Get ready for some stairs! My goodness there is so much climbing here. Don't worry, you won't gain weight your freshman year - they thought of that ahead of time for you! This is a great college though. Inexpensive, gorgeous, and so many options. They like to make sure you're all set and know what you need to do to succeed.

Helped me a lot! meet more great teachers than the bad ones! highly recommend! Plus the cheapest community college in Michigan, even though the teachers are amazing!

I take night classes here. I always get here in 20 mins or less cuz I'm going away from rush hour traffic to get here. Never had an issue with safety. Lots of parking. Staff is very friendly and knowledgeable.

During COVID they moved to D2L. It was confusing to use and there was no actual class and I started failing. I asked if I could take a break and come back for in person but when I tried to get Finical aid my GPA was 1.0 from failed classes. It was a nightmare to get fixed and they're still using D2L and it's crushing me. I had a 3.0 GPA before.

Deciding to goto OCC Culinary program was the biggest mistake ever. The Chefs are all wanna "b's" that did not make it in the "real world." As opposed to uplift and encourage students, they try to make it impossible for you to pass. Food is fun, and the experience is supposed to also be fun. The Chef's never turn back work, and fail you w/o cause.
Overall 1.5
Professors are comically terrible; you will take nothing away from this experience besides losing money and wasting a lot of your time. Even for taking cheap credits, it is terrible.

unless you absolutely MUST go here, DON'T

Cool place to be for fresh out of high-school. If you are an art student in any form, this is NOT the place you want to be unless your sole purpose is to get a job. Art prof's in my opinion only care about helping you find work, they find no real importance in developing artistic skills only teaching you how to be a great worker.
