took my first semester at OCC in January 2024 and back for Fall 2024 as well I'm currently taking prerequisites for the nursing program I am genuinely happy to go to this school the teachers are very helpful and supportive they want you to succeed The tutoring center is very helpful and don't mind sitting with you until you understand the material
Overall 4.6
This college is conveniently located in Ocean County giving opportunity that would otherwise not be available. The Education I gained here has help me tremendously in my profession.
Overall 4.6
The best community college in NJ. Great staff, great classes, and the facilities are real nice.
Overall 4.6
I am very grateful to be a student at Ocean County College. The staff here are very helpful and caring, and I have made amazing friends here. This community is far more welcoming than the clique-y atmosphere of high school, and I feel very comfortable taking of the mask and being myself here. Moreover, the campus is clean and safe.

close knit, caring staff. extremely helpful

Best place to be. OCC has a beautiful campus, SO much to get involved in, and such friendly staff and faculty. Always a chance to gain connections and plenty of services to help students succeed.

School cares more about enforcing contradictory policy than taking care of student problems. School dropped a class without notice placing my registered credit hours below the financial aid threshold and offered zero help to rectify. They expect you to pay 50% of total tuition cost for their mistake

Faculty is hit or miss. There are some down right nasty staff members who are cruel and vindictive. Got sick in the student center eating there (steer clear of the $1 lunch special) don't park your car in lot 1 or 2 got hit in both places. No note no help from security.

This school is way behind the times. They aren't up to date with anything. They know nothing about how FAFSA and loans work and you cant do anything online except register for classes. All their forms are hard copy so you have to mail or scan everything. You ask three different ppl in the same dept a question and you'll get three different answers.
Overall 1.3
This place is a money grab. It is not a good place for any respectable student to attend. It is way better if you just wait a few years, get job experiences, and then reapply. Or go out of state. The administration, way they treat their students and teachers is all I have to say.
Overall 1.3
this place is hell. went away to school, came back, & this place is a joke. no one who works in the offices have ANY idea whats going on and lost my transcript 3 times from my other school (you have to pay for copies) they don't help you and don't even THINK about using the email or ecompanion, this is my 2nd semester and it still doesn't work.
Overall 1.4
If I could give this school a negative rating I would. Advising is god awful no one knows what theyre doing most of your professors for any type of science or math will not speak English. They will tell you you have enough credits to graduate and then refuse you your degree. Ocean county college is a joke never attend.
Overall 1.8
Sure, the campus looks nice and they are rebuilding. The place looks nice but the education is terrible. BUT the professors are terrible. You truly have to look at this website to know if you should take a class or not . The part timers are awesome! And for nursing students... your professor NEVER worked in the field themselves a day of their life.
Overall 1.9
Although I have only been here a month, there's nothing special here, and it almost feels like your typical high school due to its harsh expectations and many professors talking to their students as children. There is lots of work to do for a supposed "easy" alternative to education.

It's your average community college.

Occ is a good place to good your GPA to get out of ocean county. Come here and leave so you can go to real school. It's not hard whatsoever.
