OCC rocks!
Overall 5
OCC is great college if you plan to transfer to university.
Overall 4.9
safe and fun campus. Always playing movies or live football events in the main hall. have transfer fairs. limited online class options. not many world language options, only spanish and american sign language.
Overall 4.6
Onondaga Community College has awesome staff and a willingness to work with students,a very welcoming environment. The office of diversity made me feel very welcomed.
Overall 4.5
Nice campus. Favorite thing is probably the availability of study location scattered all over campus. Need a quiet study location since your home life is crap? Go to campus. You are sure to find an unoccupied spot with good Wi-Fi to crank through those assignments.
Overall 4.4
Pretty awesome school, they could do better with maintenance things. They never replaced the screen on my window. However the faculty is very nice, and reasonable. College is very serious about students safety.
Overall 4.4
I loved my time at OCC. Mostly all my professors were really great and I learned a lot. Transferring to a 4 year college , I really miss OCC. The only complaint I have is always TRIPLE check your classes transferring if you are planning on transferring and don't trust your advisor. Mine quit and I was never given a new one until a year later.
Overall 4.3
great school to explore your interest, budget friendly, safe, support is easy to find, good social scene, great teachers

Great place to begin your college journey, there's many great programs and great transfer programs. I definitely recommend it.

Worse campus ever. Hated every minute of it. Dorms always smelled of weed and campus safety never helped and didn't care about their students. When a problem came up campus safety said you were lying. Cameras never worked in dorms and elevators always were broke. Always felt unsafe, and food made me sick. Would never go back!
Overall 1.5
OCC is only a good choice for you if you are a commuter. Residence life has been a steep downfall and I'd to be here when it all blows up in their face. It is a strict school and it feels like a prison most times. Professors are also a hit or miss and the cafe food is disgusting and they recently found roaches inside the cafe.
Overall 1.5
Its a community college. you can't expect a lot from here, unless you have a car there is nothing and I mean nothing to do around here. The only places to even go with a car are the mall, Syracuse University, or Armory Square in downtown. It seems that when I got to the school every one had already their cliques and it was very hard to make friends
Overall 1.7
Student central is a nightmare to deal with. They are often rude and dismissive. They will take your money and act like you owe them something. Professors can be rude and often complain about the college themselves. I am here for 2 years only because of the cost. If I had any other choice I would not go here.
Overall 1.7
I graduated in 98 and went back for another associates. Man, this place went downhill. The campus is twice the size as it was, but classes are all over the place, some at OCC itself, some way out in the boonies in middle schools. Professors are snotty and condescending. Thank God Im moving far away from Syracuse.
Overall 1.7
I should have never attended. Food is terrible (they never change it), school is disgusting, the internet NEVER works, and the professors are HORRIBLE. Every professor was rude/disrespectful. They were horrible at their job and were no help when it came to trying to pass the class. I would never recommend anyone go here! I regret it everyday.
Overall 1.8
School counselors for courses are village idiots. I had one friend was given Level 300 courses which OCC is not even accredited to do, he completed 3 of them with 3.0 or above and they were all non transferable. The bathrooms are nasty half the time. The only good thing was the library and they fired over half the staff??!! Go to a 4 year and save.
Overall 1.9
Don't live on the dorms. The wifi is horrible and the RAs don't care about anything at all. The food is so repetitive and you have to wait such a long time for it because it seems like they are always short staffed. I have only had three great professors so far. I enjoy that they have a counseling center and a community care hub.
Overall 1.9
don't come here expecting to make friends, campus is small, food is nasty and over priced. Come here to take good classes cheap.
Overall 1.9
Poor administration. Does not cater to students at all. Internal problems go unresolved for weeks and months. Does not plan ahead. Food and beverage prices are outrageous. Some faculty are clueless and have no idea how to teach.
