I have thoroughly enjoyed my time as a student at Otterbein. I have participated in many experiences that I certainly would not have been able to have anywhere else and I am beyond glad that I ended up here for my undergraduate career.

I'm an adult student finishing my bachelor's degree so I can't speak to the typical undergrad experience regarding housing and food. I can however sing the praises of the professors I've had so far in the BAE department and INST courses. I've had pleasant experiences with academic advising, registrar, and student affairs as well.

Otterbein is a very small school. For the price paid, a better education could be received elsewhere.
Overall 1.6
Otterbein is a small, Midwest, private institution. The demography of the campus is fairly homogeneous: middle to upper class, white, and (majority) female. It was an okay school to attend. I must admit it was my safety school. Not a lot of diversity on campus (e.g. people, activities, beliefs, etc.) but close to Columbus which helps.

I really dont like this school
Overall 1.8
The school itself is pretty, but students aren't friendly and there is rarely anything going on that makes it worth staying on campus. The wifi sucks. The class size is nice, but also means that people will know if you're not in class, so don't skip! My best advice to you is to befriend your professors.

I transferred from here after my freshmen year because it just wasn't the college experience I was looking for. It is a great school if you want to be a theatre major which I am not. I also think it was too small for me so if you are looking for something small then it might be the place for you.
