An amazing school with some university sized resources. Parkland offers their "Pathways" program to take one University of Illinois course per semester at the same cost as Parkland's per credit hour cost. Clubs and social organizations are diverse and full of great people. I saved thousands of dollars getting a 2 year degree before transferring.

I came to Parkland after attending two different 4-year Universities. The experience I had at Parkland was much happier than anywhere else. Thanks to the small class sizes I got the chance to know my teachers and classmates well. I went through the dental hygiene program and I can't praise it enough. Plus, the new cafeteria is awesome

Parkland College is a really bad or even worse place to study
Overall 1.7
Its really a dead place in here. Instructors are okay. nothing exceptional. The math department especially is a joke. My Social life isn't in anyway related to parkland or parkland students but with U of I students. There is no place to sit with your friends on campus, incase you had any. There is nothing to eat. Parking is free though.

Its not the problem with school its the coty itself thats ruining the students morale. Theres nothing to do. Parkland students never socialize they just go straight to home. The only place you can actually talk with someone is before class and after class bcos they live so far away from campus. I wouldnt recommend Parkland.C if your from a big city

its okay... kind of reminds me of high school

Parkland is pretty well-regarded as a community college, but as a UIUC student who took supplemental classes, I was not impressed. Food was mediocre and pricey, and the area is barren, so there is not much going on in many aspects such as clubs or restaurants. Everyone here just puts their heads down and goes home right after their last class.
