PVCC is a great community college. I love it here.

Excellent college! Great arts and acting programs, as well as sciences. Most professors are very good at what they do, and all of the staff (library, front desk, bookstore, etc) are friendly and very easy to work with. Very good campus location, excellent cafeteria, great library.. All around wonderful college experience.
Overall 4.4
The staff is very friendly and everyone tends to be very willing to help if you ask for it. There are two free tutoring centers that I have found helpful as well. There are some great places to study outside as well.
Overall 4.4
So glad that I went to PVCC. The cost of community college was a big factor in my decision to take the 1st two years at PVCC. PVCC's reputation (and easy transfer to 4-year schools) was icing on the cake.
Overall 4.3
Unbelievably helpful faculty.
Overall 4.3
PVCC is a great COMMUNITY COLLEGE! It's nothing fancy but the education is good/cheap. A lot of professors work at UVA /JMU too so it's the same education for half the cost. The classes are numerous and flexible (Via online) so you can fit it around your schedule. I put a 5 for Opportunites because it's a great place if you want to transfer.

Overall 4.2
PVCC is a charming little campus that quickly feels like home. Classes are small, faculty is approachable, the student body is diverse and friendly.

Most of the professors are nice and will take you seriously. I wish the same could be said with the rest of the staff. I have had problems with them loosing my information (like my transcript from other colleges), putting off sending transcripts, I have been discouraged and dismissed by guidance, and had to drop classes because of problems with aid
