This is way better than the ivies and much more demanding in coursework.

I transferred to this school from an ivy league. Couldn't be happier-- love how easy it is to get involved in research and learn laboratory techniques 1-on-1 with profs. I've gotten jobs at local start-ups because they were founded by Reedies. Absolutely gorgeous campus during all seasons. People are generally passionate and interesting.

I really love it here, although it's not for everyone. Very rigorous and high expectations. I think especially a great place for people in the humanities and social sciences because of the small conference-style classes and potential for close relationships with professors and those who are extremely passionate and love what they study.

You'll work hard, but it will feel good. Everyone is smart, which makes it so enjoyable, plus your professors really are the most amazing humans known to man. We may be quirky and somewhat stressed out, but we Reedies know how to get down, be it at a Bowie dance party or Heidegger discussion group. Reed: nerdy, caffeinated, smart, awesome!

Students hate on Reed's dorms and the food service, but compared to other college campuses our 'worst' dorms are other schools' best; the same applies to the food. People here like to complain, but I genuinely wouldn't want to be at any other school. The Student resources provided by admin are okay, but could definitely be better.
