Not only is the campus centrally located in Providence, RI, but it is safe and has lots of diversity, not only from the USA, but from all over the world. It is the most diverse College i have ever attended. Every one of my professors has their PHD. My advisors really care about all of their students, and go out of their way to help every student.
Overall 4.6
There are many awesome professors at Rhode Island College. The campus is larger than it seems and there are a lot of nice study spots. Take advantage of all the opportunities available!
Overall 4.5
Love RIC! Pretty campus, everything is nearby so easy to navigate. I feel more safe here than I have at any of my former schools. Have only had 1 professor who I would say is bad. Great financial opportunities with the 2 years free. Easy to make friends even if you're an introvert. Will be going back here for my masters. Give RIC a chance!!!!

better then the expectations !

New president Frank Sanchez is making this school what it deserves to be. Renovations and remodeling of buildings/dorm halls as well as updates technologically throughout campus are wonderful. RIC is turning into a great place that I am proud to attend.
Overall 4.4
RIC is such a great school with very caring and knowledgeable professors! Upon starting I was so nervous, but soon realized how friendly almost everyone was. I am currently in the nursing program and couldn't be more pleased with the staff and the opportunities for success presented to all of us. If looking for a focused education RIC is the place!

Overall 1.6
I lived in the dorms for four semester. I would recommend never living on campus.
Overall 1.7
The professors consistently cancel class mere minutes before class starts, 100% disrespectful to commuters coming from other parts of the start 30+ minutes away. Professors have extremely conflicting expectations of students, some lack any & all compassion for those who are injured and struggle to be mobile. Worst experience ever. Not going back!

You get your degree and that's all that matters. Other than that, not much going on
Overall 1.7
After a semester here, I decided to transfer. I did not like the school, and thought that the majority of professors were terrible, or outright rude. I think that for some majors, RIC is an excellent school, but it was not the right fit for me. The social life in my experience was not great, although the clubs were fun. Overall, I dislike RIC.
Overall 1.8
When you live on campus and everyone else commutes its hard to make friends and there is not much to get involved in. Food is awful and the school itself is not very inticing. I cant wait to leave.
Overall 1.9
The campus is designed for commuters, and that is very obvious. I commute here, and I have to say it feels like no one is ever here. But my main problem is the faculty. A lot of them are incompetent and lazy, and don't really want to help their students. I wanted an internship for a while now and they can't provide me with one for whatever reason.
Overall 1.9
I came from URI and I miss URI every day. I came here for a major that URI did not have (also much cheaper). Typical high school campus and it feels like a continuation of high school. Oh well. Nobody sticks around and everyone goes home or work after class. This place makes me sad. I'll always be a Rhody Ram. :(
