Dreary weather but good education

Perfect school to take what you wish with you. If you take initiative, do you class work, join relevant clubs, go to the networking events, and show some interest, you will do very well in your career choosing RIT. RIT wants you to succeed, and provides resources for you to utilize for the taking, if you take initiative to use them.

I'm studying mechanical engineering at RIT and have absolutely loved it the 3 years I've been here. The coop program is amazing for getting jobs after graduation and the people and clubs are great for getting a real-world engineering experience.
Overall 4.5
Opportunities meet all of the hype. The area could be better. This school really takes hard work and the first year or two might be terrible if you don't have good work ethic.
Overall 4.5
I am a CS grad student and I love it here.
Overall 4.4
Could spare to use less time and money building new areas and instead improve the older areas such as dorms. Otherwise fun school with challenging aspects.
Overall 4.4
Not the most social of schools, but if you look, there's plenty to do.
Overall 4.3
So far so good! It seems like an RIT degree is becoming more and more valuable by the minute.
Bad reviews
Overall 1.2
The school has a reputation of hiring professors with a low IQ and a low EQ. They are not embarrassed to display discriminatory behavior. The faculty is widely uncultured, and just come to the uni to collect their paychecks. They will violate all of your rights, privacy, academic, defamation.
Overall 1.2
Rit is definitely not for everyone. After spending this past year living on campus I'd say the overall vibe of the school is a boarding high school. Some of the people are really great but it's not very easy to find them, it's also very cliquey. Dining hall food at the main calf is really hit or miss, but still expensive like every other aspect
Overall 1.2
yes, mediocre college with mean, unhelpful professors. If you want to be taught by people who have a passion for learning and wont just make you memorize thousands of terms a week, don't go here. Buildings are dirty, people are rude, and I wish I went to literally any other school now
Overall 1.4
difficult, I am a transfer student with mental disabilities, I found it difficult to make friends here. I felt excluded. If drinking isn't your personality, you'll feel that way too. I've been insulted and laughed at by students and old friends, oftentimes because of my disability. While the school has some upsides, the constant crime reports count
Overall 1.5
Shitty school dont come here
Overall 1.5
RIT is a budget school. I transferred here from my prior university in Kansas and this has been the absolute worst performance of an attempt of higher education I have ever experienced. Your tuition just goes to rude, disrespectful faculty and I feel as if I have lost brain cells over the past 60 credit hours here. Pay the extra bucks and avoid.
Overall 1.5
Consider RIT an online school at this point. Professors don't care. Faculty isn't helpful. Professors will NOT follow their class schedule whatsoever. Communication has been terrible. The online experience is horrendous. The campus itself is beautiful, you just won't be able to make use of it.

2020 MBA , grade inflation in all business courses, hardly studied and maintained a 3.85 GPA. just pay your sky high tuition and you will automatically be on the Dean's list.
Overall 1.6
This is a degree-mill, simple as that
