However, this number does not include graduate students or those enrolled at other Rutgers campuses. For a comprehensive total, it would be necessary to consider all student populations across the university system. If you need an approximate total for all students, it would be around 50,000 to 60,000, but this is an estimate and not a precise figure from the provided sources

Rutgers University is consistently ranked amongst the top best schools in New Jersey for a reason. It is located in the City of Newark, which provides you with a lot of opportunities you wouldn't find if you go to a school in the middle of nowhere. I know of many graduates who have received jobs in Newark (ex: Prudential) simply cuz of location.

Great school. The business school is great and will open you up to lots of opportunities. As far as social life, it is a small school so it's what you make. If you're a social person it's not really hard to make friends, you just need to find your people and you'll be alright. A lot of people do commute though. The food is good some days.

The most diverse campus in the country. No like literally, look it up, it has been for about 15+ years. I love this campus because there is a lane and outlet for literally everyone.

Never again had to transfer to New Brunswick. Worst year i had at Newark currently a RU NB student a little bit more difficult but i am a lot happier. save yourself money and go to a CC or go to NB or anywhere else.
Overall 1.1
There are only two lounges that are the size of a hotel room. There's one non working vending machine. Parking is horrible. The area is unsafe. People get mugged all the time. No police around. Security guards are nasty and always on their phones anyway.
Overall 1.1
Save your money, if you are commuting from areas away from North NJ, go to a CC, and choose NB, the campus looks like something out of a horror movie, little parking, zero opportunities, the clubs are not that good and not that many, very controlled environment and the staff for advising is a joke. I wasted my $ going there.
Overall 1.2
Schools great, programs/professors are good, only thing needs to change is advising. Very rude, unwelcoming, sarcastic, and reception needs to change. Nasty attitude to students when asking for help. If you need help dont ask advisors or front desk, they will either shoo you away and ask you to come back or will be rude to you.

The most unappealing college campus I have ever seen
Overall 1.4
Classes close before you can even register. Unstaffed. You will pay so much money for parking never impossible to find parking. If Roberts Pizzaria wasnt there... people will have nothing decent to eat. Food on campus very bad. Its so hard joining a club.
Overall 1.5
Advisors don't help at all. They actually try to hold you back to get your money!! seriously pay attention. They will tell you to take the wrong classes so you stay longer. Luckily, my sister warned me and I took advice from her and I graduated on time, I can't say the same for others that Ive seen fall into their trap... (money baiting)

Okay Rutgers: Faculty are horrible, counselors don't want to work, and probably won't even respond to your emails. Not safe at all. The police are there to give tickets only, not to keep you safe (many robberies happen). Also, Deans are not professional, they just go by their mood of the day.
Overall 1.8
Rutgers advisors don't care about their students. They like to hold them back to get money. They're also not trained to advise. The campus is not safe. consider Montclair or Kean. almost similar commutes.
Overall 1.8
It's a good school academically and socially with clubs and such, the faculty are amazing. But we have more students than opportunities which isn't good, especially for premed students, we need internships and research but there just isn't enough to go around. It's also a dangerous area with students getting jumped weekly.
