Prestigious and well roudned, this alumni base is what makes it special.

THE BEST SCHOOL EVER. I love Dallas and the exit opportunities from Cox are amazing. great alumni too.
Overall 5
I accidentally ended up coming to this school and it's a decision I will never regret. The city of Dallas is amazing for business connections and the Cox Business School revolves around just that. The classes are more creative than challenging and on-campus professional opportunities are endless, not to mention the social life and on-campus events.
Overall 5
Not every college is perfect however SMU offers so much for its students. The schools really ensures students are prepared for the real world outside of undergrad, and offers so many opportunities to be set for post undergrad. I could not imagine myself at any other school.

SMU has a truly beautiful campus in the heart of Dallas, which is an extremely fun college city. The school is steadily gaining prominence with wildly successful SMU Cox alumni network, the recent AAC championship victory, extensive on-campus renovations (new Cox building), and joining the ACC. The Greek life is unparalleled too. Elite school.
Overall 4.9
Love this University, and such a clean campus. Easy to make friends and theres so many opportunities. The school sends out emails to warn students about weather and safety in the area. They even checked up on me during the snow storm.

Dumbest freaking people I've ever met in my life who all think they're gonna be entrepreneurs running the world here at Cox. Literally the dumbest humans in the planet yet the school caters to them because they're also dumb enough to give their money back to the school. Don't come here unless you're dumb too. The place is a total joke and dump.

Students hate it here and nobody care. Social scene is greek or die, academics are business or die, nobody other than Meadows has any friends outside of these two groups which run everything and are the most corrupt with the most money. We are all miserable and the school knows it but doesn't care so long as those big donations keep rollin in.

once they got your money, you no longer exist until next year's bill cycle

SMU doesn't care about its students.

Half of the freshman class transfers out. The school is cutthroat, and the social scene is exclusive. Campus life is dead, with little to do except clubbing and drinking. I would tranfser too except i would have to start all over in my major. Do not come here as a premed, I wish someone told me.
Overall 1.1
The school ignores student concerns once they arrive after paying that hefty $50K (we all get the same ~30K scholarships or none), then allows the students to cheat because they're cash cows, leaving the only good students to try to report this up the chain to continue to be ignored (looking at you bio/chem) so that they are left with bad gpas.
Overall 1.1
SMU hires some professors who are unqualified, throwing together slideshows and playing random YouTube videos. Some are condescending, with surprise exams that feel designed to fail students for profit because we then have to take their intersessions, which are all an easy A. Its a profit-making machine and once they have your $$, they disappear.
Overall 1.1
Overpriced and overrated. The cost rivals Ivy League but the education quality is mediocre. The student body is materialistic, heavily focused on Greek life. Even Christian groups aren't exempt from this. The school disappoints on nearly every level. Come here if you want to overpay for crap education and have zero opportunity after graduation.
Overall 1.1
They lure you to campus with the visits where you see the "good" teachers whom you'll never see again, then throw money at you before halving it the next year. Most teachers suck, if you're here for an actual degree, the classes outside of business and arts are impossible bc they have to "correct" for the ol' Cox Curve on GPAs. Crooked and gaudy.

Once they have your money, they're done with you. No help on job market, no help at the career center, and you leave with over $150K in debt. The show they put on at admitted students days is fake, its not the food you'll eat, not the professors you get to have, not the pleasant attitude you'll find when things go wrong inside the decrepit dorms.
