Best school ever!

While you are in the middle of nowhere, you get to experience falling in love with this college town. Many opportunities and so many resources on campus. They could use some younger staff, but overall very helpful. Only negatives in my eyes are the landlords in town, the WIFI, and the fact that campus is indeed built around a cemetery.

An amazing school, I could not recommend it more! I always feel safe, comfortable, and love this little college town with my whole heart. Both academics and social life are great.

If you come to this school having low expectations, it makes everything a bit better :)

people complain too much about the food, it isn't that bad at all for a dining hall

Probably the best gym school in the state. I just wish the other academic programs offered the same quality.

I transferred after a year. Terrible

The campus comes with a huge reputation for being a jock and party school, and it is just that. If you don't love going out drinking, joining sororities or sports then this is not the place for you. There are wonderful places around C-State and the programs have good reputations, but its not a great environment and the food and WiFi are the worst.

My advisor guided me into the best classes for my major. Very helpful!

Probably depends on department, but professors go out of their way to make your life as difficult as humanly possible. Not accommodating whatsoever. They're there for their research and not for your development. Parking is a nightmare and you'll get a ticket.... & yeah, they'll "run out" of parking passes at the start of the semester.
Overall 1.8
I came into SUNY Cortland as a freshman thinking about all of the opportunities I could have, joining clubs and etc. But after one semester, it has been a drag, as there is literally NOTHING to do on weekends, it's a GHOST TOWN on campus. I've never been so excited to go home for a month for winter break. Cortland's not the worst, but not the best.

You have to be involved with sports, clubs, frat/sorority to enjoy your time here .
Overall 2
Worst decision ever. Expensive and people are rude.
