Best school out there
Overall 4.6
I flipping LOVED going to school here. Living on the water is pretty amazing.
Overall 4.4
Great opportunities if you actually go out and seek them! But if you hide in your dorm 24/7 your not going to get the true Oswego experience
Overall 4.4
Safe town, great public transportation system, variety of dedicated, knowledgeable, & caring staff (particularly in English/Creative Writing/Education). Campus food options are good, from buffet-style dining halls to amazing bagels in Fusion. Sunsets are beautiful. It does get very windy here though. Socially, you get from it what you make with it.
Overall 4.4
It is a cool campus
Bad reviews
Overall 1
Poor reputation. Don't waste your time and money here like I did. Choose a high-quality private school instead and you won't regret it. Winters are bone chilling. Ice roads and sidewalks are dangerous.
Overall 1
I currently have a work-study job and get minimum pay. Truth be told we work so hard and get so little money and they think it would help up with our loans. It's seriously not enough. SUNY Oswego is extremely expensive and I struggle paying back the loans and other expenses.
Overall 1
SUNY Oswego is consistently ranked in the Top 100 for Party Schools in America. Enjoy the parties because you won't be learning anything.
Overall 1
Horrible place. Doesn't care about student's mental health. Deans / Chairs are not helpful.
Overall 1
Stay far away from SUNY Oswego. During my senior year I sought help for career counseling and no one in the Administration Building would take the time to guide me.
Overall 1
While the winter weather can be brutal, the weather during summer school is quite nice. However, SUNY Oswego has an acceptance rate of about 80 percent of its applicants. This school is just like a 4-year community college with very low standards.
Overall 1
Took an online course at this Univeristy. Very disappointed with the outcome.
Overall 1
SAVE YOURSELVES. SUNY Oswego sucks SO HARD. Everything is broken including the professors. I keep getting locked in my bathroom bc the door is broken and our washing machine is flooded and they keep ignoring us. Just stay home.
Overall 1.1
SUNY Oswego is not a good school. The clubs are O.K. If I could do it again I'd chose a different school for my undergrad. The academics are very below average. Oswego is an awful, isolated city, too.
Overall 1.1
I'm not happy here and am in the process of transferring. The education is adequate but the party culture is crazy and the buildings are not great quality. If you're looking for a party school this is one, but if you're looking for a high quality institution, it's probably not for you.
