It’s a lovely school but everyone know everyone rumors go around quick. Be careful who you’re around nobody wants drama, but there’s a lot of cool upperclassmen to hang out with.

You will receive an education at Salem that you won't receive anywhere else. The student to teacher ratio plays a huge role in how easy it is to develop relationships with your professors where they know you on a first name basis. I will leave a strong woman and feel like I can take on any challenge that comes my way.

I loved my experience at Salem College! The faculty and staff both want you to succeed and take a vested interest in you as a person. Public Safety is very present and approachable, too! The biggest issue I encountered was actually with other students who would gripe incessantly about services that really weren't that bad, such as dining services.
Overall 4.2
Salem has given me the experience and education necessary to be an active and engaged citizen of its community, of Winston-Salem, of the United States, and of the world. It's professors care deeply about their students success. The Salem community is a diverse group of students, faculty, and staff who strive for the betterment of the campus.
Overall 4.2
Not like any other typical college. Genuine people, everywhere!

Salem is an amazing school. While it has some problems, all schools do, the administration is really working to address student concerns. The Professors are wonderful mentors and assets to have. They have connected me to any different opportunities. Campus is beautiful, and the food is improving!

It's a very unique place that you get used to. Things are done differently here, in a good way.

The professors are GREAT!! BUT the school is horrible, if you are anything but a southern meat eater, get ready to starve! Rez life is lazy, unprepared and just don't care. There is nothing to do on this campus and you have to TRAVEL to get anywhere. Be wary of strange people coming on this campus and don't forget the DRAMA.
Overall 1.8
Honestly I was told how great of a school this was and was super excited to come here, until I actually got here. It's pretty public knowledge amongst students that we know that admissions lies about EVERYTHING, the school is no longer student led with town halls and many community centered things are gone, along with blatant lies about scholarship
Overall 1.8
I transferred asap along with 20 others. So much $ for an AWFUL experience. Some made friends, but it's very cliquey. Food poisoning is common. Dorms are nasty, most students are rude. Teachers are pretty nice, and small classes are the only plus. Pretty campus, felt safe on it, but the town is VERY unsafe for women! Mental health plummeted here.
Overall 1.8
leave as soon as you can, or else you will get trapped. The courses are hard to transfer over and it might seem like too much of an effort to leave, but do it!

My experience here at Salem was not the best. Residence life is not helpful. Some teachers are really nice and caring. But don't expect to get good internet in your dorm room. Plus the food is sometimes good but be mindful you might get food poisoning. Be careful walking as there is always bricks looking to bring you down to there level.
