This is a great school to help you get your foot in the door to the college life and expectations. They have multiple campuses that have many learning opportunities.

I am happy I chose this college.

Great school! Good choice to save money for classes. Lots of programs for many people's career interests. Teachers are great. There's a lot of people who are there happy to help/tutor you.

I am liking studying at SLCC so far. I especially like the Markosian Library.
Overall 4.8
I have been going both full and part time to Slcc to get my associates in Biology. Not only do I wish that SLCC had a 4 year program I wish that I could just keep taking classes here. Slcc staff are some of the best people who really truly care about their students. I would not hesitate to recommend SLCC to anyone looking to go to college.

I love SLCC! I pursued my medical assisting certification over 10 years ago, so when it came time for me to further my education for my nursing degree, it was a no brainer. It is one of the best programs around and very economical. They have had resources to support me as a non-traditional student every step of the way when I have needed it.

I attended online during covid for three semesters and was constantly trying to contact advisors and supervisors for guidance on my schedule. I would call, leave voicemails, emails, you name it and I only got a hold of an advisor once in three semesters! These people literally get paid to reply to students' emails and voicemails...

If you're thinking about attending their Nursing Program DON'T!! It's so disorganized. My teach this semester said "I don't lecture in this class go watch videos on canvas" So what is your 4hr class for? I have tried to talk to her & have went to the dean to try & tell them they need a new teacher when 1/2 of the class is failing & they don't CARE!
Overall 1.4
Horrible institution. I'm writing this so other will hopefully avoid the horrible experience I had. Save yourself the stress and go elsewhere. The amount of times I had to contact their offices because of the hidden fees is ridiculous. They withheld financial aid from me without a reason, I've been ticketed multiple times in error and wasn't refund
Overall 1.5
I've gone here for years & personally I wish I had the money to go to a University. This college doesn't care about it's students at all. You can literally go to the dean of all things and report awful things a teacher is doing & they don't care. Y'all need to re-evaluate your programs & teachers... cause it just keeps going downhill..
Overall 1.6
Depending on your degree of choice, but I regret my decision to start my college here. I should have just went to the four year school. Most every professor I have here has not been good. Majority of them were under prepared and seem to have no teaching ability. I feel that school is cheap for a reason and that's because they have horrible faculty.
Overall 1.8
They have a lot of administrative issues that will hurt your grade and your wallet. If they make a mistake they won't fix it even if it's due to a glitch on their end, they will admit to their mistakes and say there's nothing they can do to fix it. Get everything in writing and save all correspondence to protect yourself the counselors know nothing
Overall 1.8
The staff and counselors all know this isn't the U. Nobody needs an ePortfolio, nobody needs to take Biology that they learned in high school again. The whole thing is just for show and the staff doesn't care. I've only met 3 teachers that seem to like their jobs, the rest just show up begrudgingly. Sure it's cheap but you get what you pay for.
Overall 2
SLCC isn't the worst school in the world, but its definitely not the best. The administration could use a good housekeeping. Most of my teachers have been decent. I've only ever had one teacher that I thought was really great. Their chemistry department is in a sad state of affairs.
