The voice, opera, and academic faculty are amazing. SFCM has a lot to offer in regards to performance opportunities. The conservatory is unique in that it allows even the undergraduate voice students to participate in operas and ensembles, something that is not often offered by other music programs.

I srudy in Adult Extension, in group piano classes with Jacqueline Chew. She is an excellent, amiable teacher to students of all levels, individualizing instruction for each class member. Her expertise in practice techniques and performance coaching transforms the playing of even the most advanced students. She is also an excellent ensemble coach.
Overall 4.2
SFCM is located in the heart of the city, just around the corner of SFJAZZ, SFSymphony, SFOpera and the Ballet - it's really a great location and the opportunities that have been given to me through school are absolutely wonderful! I still make music with the people I've met in school and I've learned so so so much!
Overall 4.2
I have loved my two years at SFCM. As with all schools, you get what you give. I have found nearly all my teachers to be SO considerate and understanding of my music studies. I feel safe and listened to. I love my private instructor. The location is amazingly close to SFOpera and SFS, and Hayes valley. EASY to get to the all neighborhoods. <3

Bad reviews
Overall 0.9
I had a bad experience hear. No one was really willing to listen to my concerns. Everyone there likes to work around problems instead of fix them. If you have any kind of issue with a faculty faculty, don't bother addressing them, you will be ignored. Go to somewhere else that's better where the people actually care.
