Enjoying my time here.

San Francisco State is a fantastic university because undergraduate students have many opportunities. For example, you can apply to the Willie Brown Fellowship, a scholarship worth thousands of dollars. Let's not talk about how the City and County of San Francisco try to hire students directly in various departments. CHEAP & OPPORTUNITIES

Great environment for a young person to develop and grow in.

They have a couple of fantastic food spots, and several comfortable spots to seat and work on homework with strong wifi. I feel the education that I'm getting here is the highest quality in my field, special education. I'm proud to go to this college and make life-long friendships.

I am a transfer student, and I highly recommend sfsu. The courses they offer are exactly the knowledge that you need to find job. Therefore, sfsu prepares you for future job opportunities.

How is this an accredited university? I would be crying laughing if I wasn't crying about wasting my money and time when I could have just read all of wikipedia for free and learned way more.
Overall 1.1
Awful college!!! Not recommended at all!!!
Overall 1.2
Genuine critical thinking not essential here. Highly politically driven campus, student body, practices, and policies. Tuition is insane, especially for what you get for it. Either gain 30 lbs on cheap campus food or pay $10 for a healthy bowl of soup at Farm Fresh regularly. Many prof's cited wikipedia as their sources and allowed for it in class.

school so bad i had to transfer ?
Overall 1.3
Way too highly political (and often skewed in all directions) all over this campus which makes an honest, fact-driven education a rarity at this school. Some teachers will grade you w/ bias based on their own politics. It's a rare and welcomed gem to find the few that do not. Cost of tuition kept rising while accommodations deteriorated.
Overall 1.4
feels like the school is constantly working to make it more difficult for students. even if you take an fully online summer class you have to pay $800 plus dollars in fee's for the health center even if you don't want to use it.. big they/them community, big liberal political narrative even in classes unrelated to politics
Overall 1.4
woke school that teaches hatred. tries to teach that whites and straight men are oppressors and they must be disrespected. vaccination required. has a huge fascist Burn Loot Murder flag in the middle of campus. also at SFSU, no meaningful friendships are made here, by anyone, ever - do online if possible to reduce your exposure to this fiasco
Overall 1.5
SFState isn't well known because its horrible. I loved SF but the school sucked. The faculty do absolutely nothing for you. The seem nice but they dont help at all. The internet was alright, the food was pretty good, the salad bar is amazing. Clubs, WHERE? No one was social there and I was so lonely. I developed social anxiety after being there.
Overall 1.5
Thinking of going for engineering? Don't. Really, you're only sabotaging yourself. Facilities old and broken. Most professors incompetant. Majority ENGR students are clueless. You'll be forced to take excessive gen-ed courses, deal with the typical social progressive programs even though you'd just like to learn and implement engineering. A joke.

Avoid SFSU Earth & Climate Science. The Geology BS was watered down ca. 2007, and eliminated in 2014. Most upper div. courses now taught by lecturers; few tenured faculty remain. The grad. program's courses only exist on paper; only undergrad upper div. courses are offered as grad. courses. Chronic under-enrollment makes viable dept. impossible.
