Being a student attending this college I honestly can say that this college has many opportunities to offer the student body. Along with Students with disabilities. Many options to choose from when it comes to picking a class. Along with rate my professor website this gives you a chance to read about the professor, their accomplishments everything.

I cannot believe how well the staff is

I love the school. They really go out of their way to help the students. They have a store there for free groceries for students and they have a free Farmers Market all the time. They're always having events the student government's the best. I'm really happy here I get a lot from the school. I'm in the eops program and the professors are great!
Overall 4.5
I loved everything about my experience at this school. The part that made my experience here so well was my academic counselor. I would not have had all the wonderful professors I had and not been aware of all the opportunities on this campus. I loved the location, not too big of a campus, and all the tutoring resources available.

SJCC is a great school. The school has so many friendly instructors.

Great School with awesome teachers!!!
Overall 4.4
I've attended 6 or 7 colleges and universities, SJCC is my favorite; all things considered. This school is serious about your success, in fact I would declare that one would have to fail purposely; SJCC offers every opportunity available. I am proud to attend this fine institution!
Overall 4.4
both instructors and the disabilities program staff work very hard to be accomodative of special needs. Very positive experience overall.

you cannot get in contact with anyone in Admissions and Records Office. Staff is rude and understaffed. They make you go through hoops and its just ridiculous. Just dont event try attending this "CC"

I submitted a grievance & was told that the system protects tenured profs and the school can do nothing even though the dean agreed the prof was inept. Go to WVC or DeAnza where they care about your student success and vet their profs.(my GEs) I have a MS & needed chem before a PhD. I also taught at this level. Atrocious.

Keep driving to neighboring colleges. Counseling is terrible:wrong courses bad instructors. Math has bad teachers:they do not teach you well, but the easy A is possible. Science the same; laboratories and equipment are very old and unsafe unlike other colleges. Safety is not great; environment does not motivate you to study. Social life is null.
Overall 1.2
The counselors are inconsistent! They all say different things about what classes I need. I have taken two extra classes with bad teachers because of them. They do not care, they mislead you. Students at sjcc lack focus and goals. Profs are ok, not in math. METAS center is overrated. Safety is low. Overall it is a bad choice but convenient
Overall 1.4
I called the library for a renewal and was told it has to be in person. I called the next day and a different employee renewed it over the phone. The cafeteria employee tried charging me extra for chicken when the plate was the same as the others and told me I was going to gain weight.I got a cappuccino but it was just milk. Staff are disrespectful
Overall 1.4
Teachers deny your right to speak and share your own ideas. They tell you to stop talking in class and are mean to students. Theres no social life on campus.
Overall 1.4
Classes do fill up very fast before the schedule is even out. Handicap students get a cut in line because of them being handicap! the bookstore has you wait in line to buy books which can take anywhere up to an Hour. So plan ahead. Parking the first 2weeks of school can take a while. I would of thought twice before starting but its late!
Overall 1.7
San Jose City College classes were so long and hardly any learning in the five month classes. There wasn't even enough material for a quarter system class. Spent a week talking about one very superficial idea on one page of a chapter. I felt I got dumber by attending this college. Intellectual atrophy here to be sure.

More a high school than a college. Some professors are good, but there are some who bring their credentials into question.
