The worst college ever! Professors are lazy and they are not willing to help. Do not go here

Santa Monica College is synonymous with the word slow. When I email my counselors or the administration, it takes them weeks to respond. They often never respond to my emails or don't follow up with my phone calls. Everything is a process with these people.

Have to pay 50 dollars for and school id card that you never get for online school, everyone should chargeback if you can

For some reason the teachers at Santa Monica College dont understand that is a community college, not a normal four-year university. The coursework is so hard and on top of that I have to single-parent My two kids. They dont seem to know that community college kids typically have more responsibilities then your typical college kid

Great reputation but protect their professors more than their students. Complaints are sent to departments heads. IF they answer, its weeks later and responses are typically our hands are tied. Since COVID, not one of my professors had continued to give live lessons. Just short YouTube video clips that dont allow you to stop and ask for help.

Don't go here. There are so many better options. . Most of the professors suck. The good ones, are always full (bc obviously), admin is absolutely atrocious. They will definitely mess ur transcripts up. They keep you in prerequisite classes so that they can leech more money off of you. BEWARE!!
