I love SUNY Schenectady community college. The professors are great and very helpful.

Teachers and staff are very nice people who respects their students and help them with academics. the Tutoring center is a great place to go if your struggling.
Overall 4.6
I am an older student, and couldn't be happier about this school. Free tutoring, free labs to help learn. A lot of help is available if you need it. Best school I've been too. Perfect location, small classes, great price. Incredible professors, great environment. All in all, don't think I could ask for much more. Great place.
Overall 4.3
I love this college! I'm an older student and I'm so grateful I drive to this school and not HVCC. Classes ARE decent sized and comfortable. Most professors are amazing and helpful. I'm very happy here, and it's really a fantastic campus for anyone that is serious about their future and education.
Overall 4.3
The majority of teachers are very nice. And most of them are helpful because the classes are smaller, so you can actually get more help within the class. Additionally, they are available outside of class.

Good location,clean,good staff,helpful etc.
Overall 4.2
Awesome community college for the price. They just built student housing starting at 650 a month everything included great amenities. Can't really complain!
Overall 4.1
I went to HVCC before this, and let me tell you, SCCC is way better! There's so much parking, it's a smaller campus so it's easier to find where you need to go. The professors are great!
Overall 4
I have taken classes at UAlbany/Siena/HVCC and this is by far my favorite. The campus is not as nice as other places but the professors(specifically in the Science program) are excellent. The programs are challenging but the professors go out of their way to help you if you put the effort in. I am especially grateful to Dr. Munaim for her mentoring

No one talks to each other, very sad, very grey, not a fun place, no parties, sports might as well not exist, the cafeteria is a grey hole in the school, food is over priced, THE CHOIR IS A JOKE! DO NOT GO THERE! SAVE YOURSELF!
Overall 1.1
They allow students to skip pre-requisite courses or take simultaneously with higher level courses these students drag the class time asking questions that they should have known. If you take an internet course good luck! They have the funds for security car check parking passes but no funds to put soap in the restrooms.
Overall 1.2
If you want to graduate in a timley manor dont go here, the advisors are horrible.
Overall 1.4
You need to keep your parents informed re:how you are treated at this school. Almost everything, from obtaining a parking pass, registration, courses will be a challenge. Kudos to any graduate because they figured out how to graduate without a meltdown. If you can, invest in yourself go to a private college the difference is night and day.

The Manhattan of community colleges.
Overall 1.6
Educationally it's not terrible, I've gotten along well with all of my professors and the classes are generally manageable. Socially it's disgusting. Most of the students are 27-year-olds at the maturity level of 7-year-olds, and it's not a whole lot different than high school.
Overall 1.7
It's not really a first choice college. It's definitely affordable, but school pride is nowhere to be found and the events are horrible; noone goes
Overall 1.8
The nerds like to pay video games in the common areas.

Well..... It's a community college and that's it. It feels like a lot of the student body are people sent to be "babysat" by the college by their parents. Professors are hit and miss, so talk to a bunch of normal people before you schedule. I can't believe I drove an hour each way to that school.....
