Overall 5
This school is situated in a small town. The professors here are caring for the most part. The campus also has a lot of stuff to do. While Portsmouth isn't the most exciting town, it is becoming better. I hate that I am going to have to leave.
Overall 4.7
Great small town charm, safe environment, caring professors, lots of majors to choose from.
Overall 4.6
I absolutely love this school. I've had so many opportunities that I probably wouldn't have gotten at a much larger school. Shawnee is very personable and it's just an overall great campus. Go bears!!!!
Overall 4.5
I absolutely love going to school at Shawnee. I wish I was able to get my Master's degree here after I complete my Bachelor's degree. Going to Shawnee State has been an incredible, transformational experience for me. I am part of the biology program, and I have learned so much that has made me excited for my future educational endeavors.

I love Shawnee State and all of the opportunities it has to offer
Overall 4.5
Excellent science and math departments
Overall 4.5
Excellent school! Do not regret choosing Shawnee State at all. It changed my life and will forever be proud to be a Bear!
Overall 4.4
Shawnee is a great school. It is still growing.
Overall 4.4
Shawnee State is absolutely wonderful! You will go far for sure at this small, local college.
Overall 4.3
Super safe campus. Not a party school by any means. Everyone is nice and there is a lot of gaming and sports and nerdy things. There is always an activity going on. Campus Security is amazing. Food is decent. Some better than others. Needs more parking. Students help other students in need. Amazing school and Staff for the most part
Bad reviews
Overall 0.9
I attended SSU for a year and it was the worst decision I ever made! I decided to transfer to OSU my second year. It was basically starting over because only 50% of my credits transferred. The campus and overall experience was awful. I may be paying more at OSU than SSU, but I know it'll be worth it and I can find a great job! And have some fun!

None.
Overall 1
This is the worst school anyone could go to. It's in Portsmouth which is filled with drugs. It has the highest crime rate in OH. There is absolutely nothing to do here. The library and the workout facility are both really small and have terrible hours. The financial aid office screws 95% of the students over when it comes scheduling time.
Overall 1.2
Not Specified.
Overall 1.3
Poor college experience as a business major.
Overall 1.4
mediocre all around
Overall 1.5
Not a professional environment. While people are friendly, they are seldom organized or providing useful education. Lack of quality in the education, and lack of morale among students due to staff disorganization is draining. Some good staff, but you probably could do better elsewhere. Also trains at night are unbearable, and many homeless around.
Overall 1.5
Do not go here!
Overall 1.6
Boring overall. If the school had a new location it would be much better.
Overall 1.6
Terrible university. Very few professors. Of the professors teaching classes in my major, only one of them is good, forcing me to take difficult classes made even worse by bad profs. Ran in circles when it came to financial aid. Uni was not helpful in that regard. Feel like my "education" here will be worthless.
