School holds your grade hostage and will lower it if you don't participate in events. You can't withdrawl from a course without approval. Even if you have a valid reason it can be denied. More then half the people don't take showers and are antisocial. You'll probably get a ticket just because. Ask students, avoid this school, it's so bad.
Overall 1.1
Sucks, and you cant transfer because their credits trap you there.
Overall 1.2
Really horrible wish never came
Overall 1.3
It's a football school in a little ghost town. There are some good professors but The town is literally more famous for its ghosts than it is for the university. That should tell you all you need to know. The nursing program is terrible but other programs seem to have a better reputation, like the art department. I would say avoid if possible
Overall 1.3
really boring
Overall 1.4
if you are looking for the WVU "experience" while staying close to home (if you're a commuter), then don't, Shepherd really is nothing more than a glorified Community college. Maybe if the school were located in Martinsburg, and not the middle of nowhere and is so inconvenient to get to only to find out there is no parking, would make this better.
Overall 1.4
Shepherd University is not a good school to go to. I pay out of state tuition and the schools facilities suck, schools WIFI is terrible, buildings are old as dirt and stink, and there is just nothing to do. Everyone who lives on campus goes home on the weekends because there just nothing to do, its like a ghost town. The only good thing is football
Overall 1.4
This is such a depressing area. I wish I never came to this school.
Overall 1.4
If you like small, middle of nowhere, "quaint" places than this is for you... for about a week. Then you go stir crazy when you find out that everything closes at 6pm. This place is almost like something out of the twilight zone, its so disconnected from the rest of the world that it's pretty disorienting.
Overall 1.4
I left shepherd after my freshmen year. Do not go here. It's miserable. Stick with community college
