I'm so glad I decided to go to this school. I was on an athletic team and I graduated in 2007. I made friendships that I still have. Most prospective employers know about this school, but if they don't, it gives me an opportunity to explain my values .

After meeting with a SUA alumnus educator in Japan, I started studying English. Since I was from a poor rural family, I never thought it would be possible to go abroad. However, after studying hard, I was able to get a full-tuition scholarship from SUA and now I'm studying at an extremely beautiful campus in California with great friends from over

I'm currently a 3rd-year student at Soka University of America, and I deeply appreciate the undergraduate education I'm receiving here. I chose SUA for its small classes and campus, its global focus, and the individual care SUA gives to every student. The curriculum is rigorous and thorough. Generous financial aid makes the school very accessible.
Overall 4.9
The learning environment is great! The campus is quiet and beautiful, so the students can focus on studying. I often go around the campus and get refreshed. The small class size (12 students on average) and professors' availability also benefit my learning process. I even spent an hour talking with my professors during office hours.
Overall 4.8
Great small campus environment, if you are committed you can really take advantage of the everything offered here and get the most out of the school.
Overall 4.6
Soka has a beautiful campus fs. There aren't a lot of people, but because of it, I got to know everyone pretty well. The professors invest alot because there are few students especially if u choose the course by the professor. Its suburban here but Irvine has a lot of stuff and is not that far with a ride. There's many unique campus experiences too
Overall 4.5
The school is in a quiet area, but students do their best to create a unique, friendly, and eventful campus.

SUA is a place that really depends on its students. It is a learning experience for all and definitely forces you to think differently about the world. It has really generous financial aid as well, so that's a place. I knew very little about Soka before coming here, but I'm glad I did. It offers an enriching college environment that I love.

Perfect place to become an Ikeda's zealot. They preach leadership but failed to choose a President able to carry that, unless blindness is what a leader should possess... I have heard that several very smart people participated in the building of this university, but left. You can now admire the ruins of what could have been an incredible place.
Overall 1.8
Do yourself a favor and skip SUA. The marketing and experiences shared through official outlets are in direct contrast to how the school actually runs on a daily basis. It's an isolating, abusive experience.
Overall 1.9
its an embarrassment to my resume. so cringey whenever employers ask me where soka is. please do yourself a favor and go to a real school.
