Institution Overview
- Public/Private: Public
- Established: 1976
- Founder: The Beatrice Campus of Southeast Community College was not founded by a specific individual but rather is part of the consolidation of Nebraska community colleges. The consolidation was initiated by the Nebraska Legislature in 1971. Therefore, there is no single founder listed for the Beatrice Campus. However, the institution as a whole was formed through the consolidation of various junior colleges and technical schools in Nebraska. If you are looking for the broader institution's founding, it would be more accurate to say that Southeast Community College was formed through the consolidation of various institutions in 1971. However, specific campuses like the Beatrice Campus were established or repurposed from existing institutions. For clarity, the Beatrice Campus itself was originally the John J. Pershing College, which operated from 1966 to 1971

Good Community College....great to work with in the office and some really good instructors...as per any other school, some instructors aren't as good as others. I'm really happy to be at this school and feel that I am receiving a good education.
