College

I love this campus! Although I do not live on it, I am able to connect with other students on campus and join all the clubs I want to. Very social school with some of the nicest people I've ever met.
Overall 4.6
Amazing professors! Gorgeous campus! Tons of opportunities! Administration is weird but they're working on it!

Love Ashland, Love SOU.
Overall 4.3
I recently transferred here from RCC, and I feel like I have had a wonderful experience so far. I feel like there is a lot more to do here in terms of the social aspect of school than there was at RCC which really helps me as a person who finds it hard to make new friends. Campus and faculty are excellent. Would recommend to anyone considering.

Such a beautiful place with a great community.

If you are into the outdoors, like fine arts, and love smaller schools, SOU is the school for you. The campus is pretty big for a smaller school, but still entirely walkable in about 10 minutes across. VERY bike friendly. Ashland is not a typical college town, and always has something going on. The dorms are great, the cafeteria is alright.
Overall 4
SOU is a niche school, excellent for environmental science and policy, which is the fastest growing program on campus. Ashland is situated near the confluence of three unique mountain ranges and is a region steeped in conservation history. There are countless opportunities for field research in ecology, fire, and natural resources.

One of the worst universities I have ever attended. Biggest mistake of my life to go to this school it was awful.

If you end up going to this university keep in mind that you will probably end up leaving with out a degree. Graduation rat is 18 percent administration has know idea what its doing and when you ask for help the Common response is go figure it out.
Overall 1.2
At this university drug usage is high and there are two dispensaries right across campus. At this university it takes people an average of 6 to 8 years to get a degree.
Overall 1.5
This school is ridiculous when I asked for help with something I am her food to a number of different people seems like faculty and staff dont know what theyre doing .
Overall 1.5
Suffered through my junior year here, first as a business major, switched to econ. All departments except business and theater are TINY. Teachers are hit or miss. Ashland is TINY and there's nothing to do. Dining hall food is horrendous. No diversity. Coming from the bay area, it's been a nightmare. Don't go here.
Overall 1.6
Faculty members seem like theyre just kind of making things up as they go along the quality of education here is pretty poor does not prepare you for the real world.
Overall 1.7
it was my dream to go to SOU. And once I was here I was very disappointed. The internet is terrible, for a school that has hybrid classes, you would think that they would make the internet more accessible. It's probably because SOU has been under truancy for the last few years. Don't come here, it shouldn't even still be a school

I transferred after my first year. This school is embarrassing. Seriously it is bad

Financial aid will try to break your spirit. Leading you in circles, in order to charge you the most interest and late fees possible. Instead of worrying about academics and how poor of a shape they are in,they worry about spending millions of dollars on improving the sports, or the building where the administrators' offices are.
Overall 1.9
I wouldn't wish for my worst enemy to go to this school. My adviser would forget about appointments, financial aid would take away grants, and housing is a pain in the ass. I stopped doing theatre because this school made me hate it. People get stuck here and hate it. Don't get stuck here!
