SUNO is the best HBCU

Absolutely love SUNO! This is an incredible University, and I really enjoy everything it has to offer. is an Online/on-campus university, that is fully accredited. Has excellent and reputable professors. Not an easy college! I had my Bachelor in social work and I'm back for my MSW. My Social work Professors are one of the best-Ilham

This is a wonderful school for traditional and non-traditional students. There are many graduates, unfortunately we do not have enough alumni participation.

I am leaving this awful school! Everything about it is bad: the food, the library, the buildings, the Internet, the social atmosphere, and IT IS A VERY DANGEROUS CAMPUS!!! And most amazing of all, the tuition is very high compared to what it used to be. Tuition is the same as UNO and Tulane night school, which are much better schools.
Overall 1.3
NO STRUCTURE AT ALL. I'm a very structured student and to not have structure is very disturbing. Exit exam required after you have completed four years of course work. Students have no where to park without getting ticketed by the City of New Orleans. The Registrar, comptroller, and admissions offices are run by incompetent adults. Waste of $.
Overall 1.6
SUNO is a very discouraging school. Very few people are helpful, it's extremely unorganized and the classes are either too easy or unfair altogether.

This is NOT the big SOUTHERN uni. Ppl confuse us with Southern at BR. You have to make a use of it or it will suck the life out of you. My first year it was actually great because we was the last generation for ppl who actually socialize. My second year was trash. Barely any events, barely any socialization and all drama. Lower your expectations.

do not waste your time. response time is terrible, no one answers the phone or even helps with your problems. professors don’t care. it’s cheap and totally reflects that. go somewhere else. i have never wanted to drop out more. this school sucks the life & motivation out of you.

not the best school, but it can improve.

Best kept secret in Louisiana. Cheap tuition, passable and adequate facilities. Most Professors and Administrators go out of their way to be helpful, this is the true value of SUNO. Some students expect an education to drop in their lap, work is required here, but the Professors literally drum the information and knowledge into you.
