Student and Staff Numbers
- Students: The total enrollment at Southwest Tennessee Community College is approximately 6,443 students
- Undergraduates: Approximately 3,243 students are enrolled full-time as undergraduate students at Southwest Tennessee Community College. The total number of undergraduate students, including part-time, is not explicitly stated in the provided sources. However, it can be inferred that the total number of undergraduate students is higher than 3,243 due to the presence of part-time students. For a more accurate range, we would need additional data on part-time undergraduate enrollment. Given the available information, a rough estimate could be: - Full-time undergraduate students: 3,243 - Part-time undergraduate students: 4,128 (total undergraduate enrollment is not explicitly given, but this is the number of part-time students) Thus, a rough estimate for total undergraduate enrollment could be around 7,371 students (full-time and part-time combined). However, this is an approximation and does not account for the exact distribution between full-time and part-time students
- Academic Staff: The number of academic staff at Southwest Tennessee Community College is approximately 150-200, based on the provided directories and faculty listings. However, an exact number is not given in the sources

Attending southwest TN community college, is the best way to acheive your goal
Overall 5
Southwest is a great school and very affordable. If you live in the Memphis area then this is the school that I would recommend for getting your associates and/or transfer credits for University. I took over 80 credit hours at this school and only had one class that didn't work out. Took it under a different professor and all was well.

When I think about my school I think affordable education, great teachers , good environment and graduation with a great job and being able to continue education. Though you may not be at an university you can transfer after receiving your associates degree and not trying to struggle paying high loans.

Plan to spend days in Fin aid/registration,special needs students have little accommodations and to get any kind of help is like pulling teeth. I started here to save up for U of M,wishing I had gone to U of M after I graduated high school. Poor school.

They don't care about the students, very slow. Not a good place for the beginner.

This college is a nightmare. The administration is horrible. It's unorganized. Staff borders on incompetent. They will mess up your records and make registration a nightmare. Most professors are unhelpful. The school will ensure you are set up for failure. A complete #$% show.
Overall 1.5
My first advisor, who is senile, pretty much screwed me over. She never cleared me to register and the class I needed filled straight up. I contacted the director head & professor-- no help. Then the system kept telling me a spot was open but would ONLY waitlist me. I'm STILL trying to get into the class & its been 2 months! The school is terrible!

This college is in a horrible area, it is horrible at communicating with people, it is very unorganized. It is nice to go here for free for two years, but that is about the only good thing about it

BEWARE!!! The security is a JOKE! DO NOT PARK IN THE REMOTE GRAVEL LOT on Macon campus. The school motto should be "hurry up and wait". DISORGANIZED SCHOOL!!

Enrollingregistering was a complete nightmare. The people that work in the offices are extremely rude, slow, and unorganized. I transferred schools after my first semester at Southwest because I didn't want to deal with the ignorant people that work in the offices. Needless to say, you get what you pay for.
