I love this university. The professors really care about the students. I transferred from a community college, and I love the new buildings and all of the Student Life activities and staff. I love living in Bringle Lake Village, and have made lifelong friends at TAMUT. I HIGHLY recommend our university. You will love it.

Outside of mass shootings, there have been over 300 instances of gunfire on college campuses, killing 94 people and injuring 215. After a school shooting, it can be hard to feel safe on campus again. It is a good school. If you like having a lot of stuff to do(like in big cities), this isn't the place for you. Some of the core requirements teachers are visibly unhappy, however the major professors are move caring and interesting. Overall, it is a good school, with decent opportunities. You can do great here. Safety: be careful and vigilant.

Will not be surprised if this university closes couple years. Building looks new but something always wrong here closes early due to problems way too often. Classes are YouTube videos and teaching yourself. Advisers ghosts No staff ever available advising or financial aid.

Campus is very under developed. It doesn't have that "university feel". No pool, no planetarium or student center. It's just 2 buildings, a 2-story dorm & a mini police station. The lake is nice. Academic wise, not so great. There are a few good ones but mostly friends & relatives work there. Small town everyone knows everyone Need car to get there

Need to train their administrative team. They send you back and forth when looking for info. or help. No interest in helping or guide the students or prospective students. Lack of general culture and knowledge about programs offered, being in a small town is not a excuse.

Slow to do anything around here. No one is on the same page, its a mess. Grades are never posted when due, I'm trying to transfer but can't even get that accomplished because grades aren't posted and no one can tell me why. Admissions sends you somewhere and then they send you back. And, the people at the bookstore are complete A-holes.

Short and sweet. Texarkana is a shithole.There isn't a night without shootings. Hot sticky sweaty weather is horrendous. There is nothing to do. The people are nasty bigots who never grew up. The teachers are as about as competent as a bag of dirt and try to sleep with their students. You won't learn a thing. Everyone drives drunk.
