Tyler School of Art is amazing. Hands down destroys other art schools any day of the week. If you are looking to find your way in art, Tyler is the answer.

fun + cool school. kids are crazy nice, much more diverse in background/personality than other art schools (from my experience). profs are nice but often struggle with/resist technology. beautiful studio spaces w/views of north philly. café in building is disgusting and overpriced, but food trucks outside are great. overall have enjoyed v much :)

I have had great success in the "real world" since graduating. Tyler was the best at preparing me for everything I have come across. 10/10 would do it again if I could.

I think Temple is really good for other majors, but not for art and graphic design ones. The professors and classes are not much. Some are really quality, some are not. Not worth such the amount of money I spent on.
Overall 1
I don't have great experience here. The schedule is limited, and the graphic design program is extremely confused.
Overall 1.4
Not happy about experience here.
Overall 1.6
Worst school ever. Programs are complicated. Some courses are unnecessary when it comes to practice and career. The professors might be great, but the lectures cannot catch up with the developing of art careers and technology. Hope there will be improvements.

If you are an International student and you are coming to Tyler under the leadership of Dean Susan Cahan get ready to deal an ice queen. If you get any sort of emergency it is almost unlikely that the school authorities will help you at all and they have been ruleless during COVID times. I regret I ever came to this ran down and mediocre school
Overall 1.8
The area around is not safe much. The professors, students, and staffs here are really friendly. The only thing is that everyone have to learn by themselves, and the professors will only critique. It's like we need to find everything by our own without knowing much about lessons, rules of design, and so on.
Overall 1.8
Not much choices for students.
Overall 1.9
Tyler is ok, everyone is good. But the program is really narrow. It's about the art school, but it seems that there's not much illustration or drawing class.
Overall 1.9
I feel that Tyler is too much for me. The advisor is very pushy, they try to add me to some "not worth" classes. The program is fine and a bit old, not enough classes for students. I guess they want to get more money from the students than improve the quality of the program.
