Being a person whose English is not the first language, i could never think of attending any other colleges/universities. Love staffs, students and how much opportunities school has to offer. Fantastic place to go!

The University of Akron is a great college and doesn't get enough credit.
Overall 4.9
I love Akron! It's diverse, fun, engaging and there is much to do!

Great campus with many opportunities
Overall 4.8
I like the campus and the location. The professors here are great and you will have excellent job opportunities after graduation.
Overall 4.6
I did not want to come to this school because of my dislike of Akron (born and raised). My tuition with good scholarships is about 1k a semester. I have no loans and a 15 minute commute. The nursing program is imo, poorly run but the material is still valid. You need a 77% to pass every class in nursing. Not my top choice, but a degree is a degree.
Bad reviews

Very poor programs, classes almost all taught by part time teachers who don't have experience and are always changing. numerous presidents and always changing leadership. most of the strongest professors have left the university. Lots of better schools to attend in Ohio for higher quality education.

Go literally anywhere else
Overall 1.4
It's not a bad school, but if you have other options take it; personally, I regret coming to Akron; it is the worst experience ever !! Professors are so mean, and their purpose is to make you fail. The community is toxic in Akron; you will be depressed after one year of attending the school. bottom line if you hate someone, advise them to come here

If I did it again I would not choose this place.

Overall 1.5
This university didn't help me at all. Not good. My complaints: 1. The students and teachers were overall unprofessional and unsupportive. 2. The school's reputation sucks. 3. THe school is deep in debt and the president is/was shady. 4. The air pollution is insane. 5. There are no clubs that I liked and it is hard to start up one.
Overall 1.6
When I graduated from Akron, I was disappointed in my experience with this school. There was a high rate of faculty turnover, student/faculty politics encroaching into the student experience, and a lack of a cohesive community culture. There was also a distrust in the direction of the board of trustees due to a lack in transparency.
Overall 1.6
There is nothing to do in Akron, very boring place. Classrooms are pretty outdated.
Overall 1.7
As a student of five years, I would not recommend The University of Akron to anyone. It's going downhill very fast. Whether it's cuts being made left and right, or the fact that campus is a ghost town on the weekends, UA is simply not the place to go for a true, enjoyable college experience. If you value your education, go literally anywhere else.

Go to Kent instead if you actually want to have a good experience. Don't come here as a CCP student. One of the worst years of my life tbh. So glad I'm transferring.
