I love UBC so much. Beautiful campus, and I've made lifelong friends here. Incredibly competitive academic programs that push you to become better. I love it.

UBC is the best place to be to make friends. Beautiful campus, and so many great outdoor infrastructures. Great for outdoor junkies like me! I love how active everyone is here, and the courses offered here are amazing.
Overall 5
UBC is the best school in the area! I’ve made so many friends in the first day, and we have been friends for years now. It is a great academic environment with amazing profs

I don't know why so many comments say it's hard to make friends. I moved here knowing nobody and the amount of opportunities to meet people is crazy! I made tons of friends pretty much instantly! Also, the food is pricey but it's Vancouver, everything is pricey. There's a huge selection though. Campus is so safe, cameras & help buttons everywhere.

LOVED everything here!! Profs are a lot better than expected (I'm from Ontario and in science :D). Coops are available for science geeks, so don't be afraid about that. The only downside is getting anything basic either cost a lot more than ON or I would have to travel 40 minutes by bus to the nearest dollarama/walmart :/.

The engineering program is one of the best in the country and there are lots of room for job and volunteer opporunities for students. Would recommend for international students who are looking for a quality education. Unfortunately the social life is a bit lacking so you have to put yourself out there to meet all the amazing people on campus
Overall 1.2
This school is a complete scam, don't go to it. It's not worth it.
Overall 1.3
This school doesn't care about its students and the quality of its courses. Most professors were indifferent to students' experience and UBC's system is a mess considering course selection and student housing. The internet here is bad and randomly disconnects. Even with so many issues, this school still raises tuition and housing costs every year.
Overall 1.4
Being a top 40 university, the teaching quality is really overrated. Math is taught too easy. The only way is to do an Honours degree if you do want to learn something or go to a master/phd program in math. Vancouver is terrible, it rains 1/3 of the year. The internet is also very poor. The only strength is that it is safer than schools in the US.
Overall 1.4
when i went to this school everyone called my a skibidi toilet lover and they all voted me as the impostor so i had to talk to the all mighty kai cenat and he said that if i dont pull a level 5 gyatt within 69 seconds then i would die so i found livvy dunne but she turned around and unzipped and she was actually a monkey and killed me. 29/16.3

this shcol is absolutely trash 3000 teachers ran a train on me and gave me rate aids and then i got kidnapped by a group[ of monkeys tied a ceiling and told i wouldnt be let down until i said "ooh ooh ah ah im a fat monkey" i refused and they shot me. god said i could come back to write this but i have to go soon #TTYL. great wifi tho

This school is terrible. I tried to get lunch from the dining hall and saw baby gronk rizz livvy dunne the ocky way so when i went to warn him that she only has a level 4 gyatt duke dennis and kai cenat killed me in front of all the students this is my ghost writing this btw. internet is really good tho
Overall 1.7
Like a dead place, no matter social or opportunities?lol
Overall 1.8
Profs are okay but have had some bad experiences along with others that I know. Social life is horrible, very cliquey and general vibe of "I'll be nice but we're not gonna be friends". Campus can feel extremely isolating and is very separated from the rest of Vancouver. General student population seems to have poor mental health.
Overall 1.9
With a BA, the only job I could get was as a typist for ten dollars/hour. I went back to UBC for a Masters. With 50,000 dollars in debt, I went to Asia and paid off my student loans in a year. I used one thing from my studies, which was how to write a lesson plan. I am embarrassed to admit I went to UBC.
