Good reviews
Overall 4.1
This school is not the typical undergraduate experience, so don't expect clubs and food. You come here to get your classes done and go home to your family! Or just go home to study and go to work!
Bad reviews
Overall 0.9
The Writing Program is a joke. The Director totally ignored complaints. The Instructor herself said she does not provide feedback. Do not waste your money.
Overall 1
Terrible customer service. Poor grading set up and explanation on sylabus and website.
Overall 1
Complete waste of my time and money! Took 3 classes. All were taught using powerpoints that my teacher didn't even make. Feedback from one of my instructors was completely useless. He would say watch the powerpoints and explain this better even though I explained it just how the powerpoint did. I honestly don't think he ever watched them himself.
Overall 1.2
Be sure to read the policies carefully because they don't tell you a lot of things. If you are a pre-med/nursing/dental, DO NOT TAKE their courses. You do not want to have Fs on your transcripts. If you don't pass the final with 70% or more, they WILL give you a letter grade F. And trust me, their finals are ridiculously hard.
Overall 1.7
The courses here are overpriced for what they offer. Some classes were great some are just not worth it. Be careful of courses you want to take here some are good and are transferable for college credits, some not. No networking opportunity or a quiet study area available.
Overall 1.8
UC Berkeley Extension does not really offer what you would expect, considering the well recognized name. It disregards real interest of students and would not hesitate to charge students for anything, including the use of library. It would be wiser to take your requirements at State schools, instead of wasting your time and GPA at UCB Extension.
Overall 1.9
Quality of instructors is poor. No accountability for quality of instruction. Ignore students' complaints about poor quality of instruction. Class content is not worth of the name UCB. You'd be better served at a junior college.
