Really impressed with this school. Its currently the 3rd top ranked UC just under UCLA and Uc Berkeley (Cal). Plenty of amenities and services, beautiful campus and lots of farm animals and a river .

Remember research comes first here and teaching is second. If you can accept that and the speed of the quarter system you will have no problems. Students are friendly use the tutoring services. Also your grades can be curved so take that into account too. You're in the big leagues so don't complain another bright student could replace you.

UC Davis is a big name school and part of the UC system. Remember very importantly your professors are more interested in their research than your education. That is normal here it should be no shock to anyone. So the teaching usually takes a hit. Make sure you are independent when you come here that you can digest and study information on your own

I appreciated all the teachers and all the resources that the departments have. I enjoyed the environment. Going to college for me was an experience that I could be outside of my environment that I grew up in. UC Davis was an environment that was covered in nature and trees, this was a different feel for me.

get ready to pay $1000 in parking per year. thanks TAPS!

CS department don't care about us getting classes or about our education, they only care about our money :( Rising junior and it's impossible to get a darn CS or STEM class.
Overall 1.6
Worst few years of my life. Everyone who goes here is a rich snob. Teachers aren't accommodating and tend to forget that students have to work and have other classes. Location sucks, social life is dead, classes are useless and you won't learn anything to help you in your career or real life.
Overall 1.7
It is located in a wide spot in the road an highly overrated. Too many of the students are entitled and paying by the semester to waste their time and someone else's money.
Overall 1.8
A few days after graduating it all feels like a really bad dream. Sure, the student experience depends on the opportunites you get, but sometimes you can try your best and nothing pans out. Have a lot to unpack in therapy after this.
Overall 1.8
Not the very best school for a lot of majors except animal science. Keep organizing frequent strikes that affects students and their mental health. I’m a very mentally strong person but Davis showed the ways to the counseling services. If you’re in this university there’s no chance you’re graduating without seeing the therapist.

I absolutely hate it here. you are better off going to a cal state school. the social life is dead and it is literally in the middle of nowhere.
