Good choice

Great school and honestly undeserving of the hate it receives. Several top programs in medicine and other fields.

Really love this school. I heard from diffrent students that they chose this school because the faculty was so much more helpful than that of other Ups.Also, some medical students here chose UCR's school of meidicene instead of places like USC and UCLA is because UCR helps with leaving students debt free.

UCR was always my dream. I knew from the moment I visited the campus that this school was for me. I could of had chosen to go to UCLA but UCr was simply for me. I love diverse it is, how theres a lot to do, and how big the campus is. Everyone is super nice and chill.

I didn't apply here but I ended up committing after being invited. As someone who was not as enthused about it at first, I love it and if I went back knowing what I know now I would make the same choice. The social scene here is good, everyone is super nice, and we have great facilities. Plus you have all the advantages of the UC system overall.

It sucks that UCR has a poor reputation because it is such a great school but it is going up!!!

Not worth it!

Switching from CSUSB to UCR has been my biggest regret ever. This school is terrible. Professors can't teach and make exams hard. The advisors and office people do not help whats so ever. Internet has a problem everyday.
Overall 1.4
No parking, bad internet, bad lazy professors. Biggest regret of my career. I chose UCR bc of funding but honestly I would rather be at UCSD with my loans, than here with no debt
Overall 1.5
worst choice ever, mental health went down the drain
Overall 1.7
CNAS advisors are the absolute worst. Shame students for taking longer than 4 yrs; they advise students incorrectly & make them take longer. Advisor told me I took a class that didnt count for GE so I took another that would count but turns out the 1st class DID COUNT. Took an extra class for nothing. Wont let u change majors even if u have the req
Overall 1.8
No parking. Extremely closed minded. Terrible counseling services. Students lack intelligence.
Overall 1.9
Avoid this place at all costs. This UC is overrun by corruption and dark money with professors having little to no care about the students. The students are generally nice but the safety is abysmal. You're more likely to hear an alert from UCPD about some homeless dude than another baseless claim of an internship. Crime is at an all-time high here.

go somewhere better

I did not get what I paid for! The professors and grad students here are so disrespectful and the quality of education here is low.
