Great campus. Havent had a bad experience yo date
Overall 4.7
It's small but I did feel like they would provide good opportunities, like having grant programs, the counselors actually try to help you unlike other universities. Tuition was affordable compared to UH main where I transferred out of. Overall, I enjoyed it.
Overall 4.7
Highly recommend this school for education majors. The advisors are very helpful. The school is quiet and peaceful. Traffic going in and out the school is not bad. Sometimes parking can be a little full but overall enjoy my time here.
Overall 4.7
Very clean campus, New buildings, New dorms, police patrol area, no loud noise, deer are put in the winter. Safe environment.
Overall 4.5
I love UHCL so much! I transferred here from UH-Main as a engineering student, and came here for Computer Science. The professors are great, the campus is gorgeous, there are amazing resources, and I have made so many friends here because of the wonderful CS department. I also feel very safe here, even as a woman in STEM (unlike at UH-main)
Overall 4.5
Superb school and great environment. It has changed a bit since going into a four year program, but it is still a great university.
Overall 4.4
You'll just have to attend there yourself to know how truly amazing of a school it is. The school budget isn't much compared to the main campus, but it treats us so much better!
Overall 4.4
Very clean facilities and such a safe place

This school is definitely not a party school. It's great for one on one interactions with professors and help solidify relationships for things like recommendation letters and mentorships. While not for everyone, I think there are a select group of people that can thrive in this environment.

DO NT ATTEND UHCL! The entire time I have attended the school I have always felt like I am bothering the faculty members. Most of the professors are very nice all of complaints have nothing to do with them. It's the admission counselors and academic advisers. Every single advisor I have spoken to has been beyond rude and i unhelpful.

like the other person said, you're paying for a service and aren't receiving anything. Even when you complain about professors, they just say " you're gonna get terrible professors and that's just how it goes" literally the words that cam out of an advisor. You may not like it but you might as well go to an actual college/university.
Overall 1.4
If I could give negative number ratings I would. The food and coffee are horrible I got sick from both. (Differ. days) The people in the offices have no idea what's going on;they all tell you different things. Nobody ever answers the phones. There is no opportunity to grow here, and a lot of the classes are only available during certain semesters.
Overall 1.7
I recommend you go to another school if you want to take Engineering. In the past 2 years the school has hired 2 people and 2 people have quit and another 2 are quitting this semester. There is only a single advisor for the entire engineering department. You will be lucky to graduate in 5 years due to many classes being offered for one semester.
Overall 1.7
do not come here. I thought i was going to love it but i hate it here. The professors all suck, they are terrible and disrespectful to students and even after more than one student goes to the dean to complain, uhcl will not do anything about anyone. Also they offer certain classes either in the spring or fall making you graduate late. AVOID.
Overall 1.8
Honestly spent the worst years of my life here! To begin with the staff or "professors", most of them have trouble in the way they teach to the point were you are like "who hired you?", I really could go on and on about each professor in each department, but I wont... Also there is absolutely no social life in here, every just comes and goes.
Overall 1.8
The only positive is that I feel safe on campus.
Overall 1.9
It is EXPENSIVE to go here for such a small school the Rec center is the best part of campus and it cost $550/ semester and you can't take it off your tuition so use it. They have ok hours. I lived in apartments by campus because it is a commuter school even though they are trying not to be. Just want to point out that 3 of my professors have quit.

Not bad

I would never recommend this school for biology. Their graduate program is horrendous. The lack of mentorship is apparent, especially for students that excel. TA program is useless compared to other schools. The biolabs and equipment are subpar (no you don't get to use the new building). You get less than what you pay for.
