Good university

I feel so safe attending UMD, I've been to Wayne State, Henry Ford and other colleges and nothing felt as safe as UMD. Almost all the professors I have had have been so nice (for CEHHS). Absolutely love this university.

Super great, especially for engineers.

Food expensive and small portions. Mostly a commuter school, parking hard to find.

Wouldn't recommend; very little worthwhile socializing/networking/extracurricular opportunities. If you have high aspirations (and not willing to settle for mediocre opportunities in your field) find another school for undergrad. Because of location, opportunities are mainly within the auto industry, very little in other industries (defense..etc.)

This school is out dated and it is noticeable that all it cares about is money from student not teaching or students themselves
Overall 1.2
This school sets you up for failure

Its not that cheap other amenities are costly. Professors are not that great. Please think carefully before coming here.

This campus is a joke! The food is really expensive and always the same. The buildings are tired and old. The faculty try but are always complaining about how much they work and how little they make. I am transferring at the end of this year because it's so depressing to be here.
Overall 1.6
The quality of the professors is subpar. I’ve never experienced such discrimination in grading before attending UMD. I’m so happy I only have 4 classes left and I’m upset I didn’t just go to Ann Arbor.
Overall 1.7
Not very good or caring professors. Commuter school

You get what you pay for here. You get the degree but teach yourself everything. The advisors here are HORRIBLE, you're better off planning your own degree. You go to class and then you go home, there isn't much going on and no opportunities. They say college is supposed to be the best years of your life but going here actually made me depressed.
Overall 1.8
If youre considering UMD, dont. Faculty from financial aid, advising, and university center are all mediocre at best and are usually unwilling to help you. Hardly any food choices. Never enough course offerings so dont plan to graduate on time. Professors are okay. Save your money and go somewhere else.

DO NOT GO TO UOM COB - Collage of Business is horrible horrible horrible, change your major if you have to but don't go to that collage. I am still suffering for making such poor decision even after graduation. They define unprofessionalism. if you have an issue with anything you will always find student services as a barrier to any solution. ..
