I transferred to UMD 1.5 years ago. I love it here and it was so easy to transfer. Great outdoors, fantastic RSOP/facilities. Clubs and involvement is what you make of it, lots of options. Almost all professors are fantastic. Only regret is not coming here sooner.

Overall 4.6
I have always heard from people I graduated high school with that they instantly felt like they belong at the college they chose and I thought everyone was crazy and when I transferred to UMD I instantly felt that. It is so welcoming and they have so many activities and resources and its amazing.
Overall 4.5
Been here for 5 years and have very little bad things to say, proud to go here and have truly enjoyed how friendly all my peers have been as well as many great professors.
Overall 4.5
If you invest your time and try to make the most of it, UMD will give you everything you need to succeed and more. Great place to be if you like winter and summer outdoors activities.
Overall 4.4
I moved up here from the twin cities, had a slight culture shock by all the hockey energy. The amazing views and hiking save my mental health from the winter sad. Finding good people is not difficult. Your experience will depend on what you choose to do while you're here.

good campus
Overall 4.4
I couldn't have asked for a better school. Duluth right on Lake Superior is absolutely gorgeous. Not to mention the campus that sits on top of the hill with a view of it. I graduate in the spring of 2021 and I'll be sad to leave but I'll be leaving well prepared for my future. Professors are passionate and intelligent and the students are amazing!
